Chapter 240  Lemira’s mood was getting more irritable by the minute.  Just then, her phone buzzed with a message from Lucian. [Lemmy, I’m outside the campus. Picked up some essentials for you. Can you come out and grab them?]  Feeling agitated, Lemira had no desire to meet anyone from the Langston family. She replied curtly. [No need, give them to Evelina.] Standing beside his car, Lucian initially smiled when he saw Lemira’s reply. However, her actual response made his smile wry.  It seemed Lemira was still far from forgiving him.  Evelina was heading back to Lyria for a repeat year and wouldn’t be staying in Orvin. There was no point in giving these items to Evelina!  Lucian lingered outside the campus for a while, feeling tom.  He knew Lemira was there but didn’t dare approach her, worried about making her more upset. He was amazed that his sister had made it into Orvin University and excelled, yet he had overlooked her, focusing more on Evelina instead.  As Lucian was about to leave, he noticed dozens of students in blue uniforms exiting the university building, one of whom looked familiar.  His expression changed slightly, “Evelina, what are you doing here?”  Evelina’s face turned awkward as she humed over, nervously saying, “Lucian, what why are you here?”  “I should be asking you that. Why haven’t you gone back for your repeat year? What are you doing at Orvin University, and in a Business School uniform no less”  Evelina answered in a whispered voice, “Asher arranged it. He said there’s no point in repeating the year since I wouldn’t get into a better university anyway. It’s better to make some connections at the Business School. It would be good for my future!”  Lucian was annoyed, “The Business School is a gathering place for Orvin heirs. What business do you have there? How can it possibly benefit your future?”  Evelina’s eyes were a bit red, but she had made up her mind not to return to her old life. She was determined to stay in Orvin, hoping to marry into wealth through Asher  She refused to endure a life of poverty  Lucian frowned, ‘Come back with me first. I’ll talk to Asher about this.”  “Lucian, I know I come from a humble background, but I have my own dreams. I don’t want to go back. My classmates are waiting for me, I have to go.”  With that, Evelina ran off. She wasn’t about to give up this rare opportunity to connect with the heirs of the Business School.  Watching Evelina disappear, Lucian immediately called Asher, “Asher, why is Evelina at the Business School? She was supposed to go back for her repeat year”  “It was my decision. Being at the Business School is good for Ever  “But didn’t you say that spot at the Business School was reserved for Lemmy?”  At that time, Lemira’s grades weren’t great, and Asher had mentioned the Business School opportunity. But unexpectedly, Lemira had gotten into Orvin University on her own merit!  “The spot was indeed reserved for Lemira.”  Asher scoffed, “But look at her, cutting ties with the family and even causing the corporation’s systems to crash. How does she deserve the privileges the Langston family offered her?”  Lucian struggled with mixed feelings, unable to soothe them or voice his frustration. He felt deeply saddened.  He stared at the message Lemira had replied with, suspecting she already knew about Evelina being at the Business School.  Returning to her dorm, Lemira checked her phone and saw her classmates discussing how she had been isolated by the Business School.  Clara and Janice walked in, making the atmosphere even more awkward.  Clara was clearly displeased, “Great, stuck in the same dorm with some people! Would it kill her to apologize?”  Lemira abruptly pulled back her chair, the screeching noise filling the room. She looked up, her gaze fiery and intense.
