Chapter 253
Lemira found the photo amusing. She noted the watermark—the school’s online forum. Curious, she logged in and found a post about herself. The headline screamed: “Freshman pretends to hate the rich but secretly hooks up with wealthy older men and doesn’t come home at night!”
Tsk. The post claimed she despised wealthy Business School students yet cozied up to rich men in bars, throwing herself at them, and then failing to return home at night. One comment added, “I went to high school with Lemira, and she’s always been like this. But her good grades let her get away with it. I can’t believe she’s still doing it in college.” Another chimed in, “Yeah, I heard she was messing around with the school doctor in high school. Now at Orvin, surrounded by even richer people, she’s obviously ditched him for some wealthy old guys.” A third declared, “I saw Lemira getting out of some old guy’s car this morning. The guy was so old and ugly, but it seems she’d do anything for money!”
Lemira easily guessed the source: Evelina. Slandering people online seemed to amuse them, but finding these trolls wouldn't be difficult.
With a bang, the door burst open. Susanna and Evelina entered, flanked by male accomplices. The students fell silent, fearing the wrath of the Business School elite. Ordinary students couldn't afford to cross them.

Susanna gritted her teeth. "Lemira, quite the hider, aren't you? Didn't expect you to slip away last night." After Orion’s departure, Susanna had searched for Lemira, but she had vanished, along with Susanna’s bodyguards. Susanna later learned Orion had beaten her bodyguards for bothering him while searching for Lemira, and they'd been dismissed. Her family had learned of the incident, and her father had scolded her. Susanna seethed. Spotting Lemira fueled her rage.
Lemira, resting a hand on her desk, remained calm. "I didn't enjoy your party last night, so I left early. Were you planning on restricting my freedom? That's illegal, you know?"
"So what if it's illegal? The law won't side with a nobody like you!" Susanna's arrogance was evident.
Evelina interjected, “Lemira, you’ve misunderstood. We were just worried about you leaving early. We heard you didn’t come home last night. Where were you?”
“Why do you care where I went?”
Susanna scoffed, “Heard you got out of some old man’s car today. Thought you looked down on us rich folks? Seems like you spread your legs fast when you see money.”
“Well, not as fast as your mouth runs!” Lemira retorted.
Susanna, momentarily stunned by the sharp comeback, was angered and embarrassed. Raising her hand, she snarled, “You slut!”
Lemira effortlessly caught Susanna’s hand. “Who are you calling a slut?”
Lemira’s intimidating gaze and aggressive aura startled Evelina, who quickly intervened, pulling Susanna’s hand away. Humiliated, Susanna turned to her lackeys. "What are you waiting for? Drag Lemira out of the class. I need to have a word with her."
