Chapter 282  “I know, I have other ways.”  She was all too familiar with that fake angel and the Langstons. Taking them down could be done in a myriad of ways.  Before, she only felt suffocated by the Langstons and was desperate to escape. But now, she wasn’t about to run anymore.  Orion gave Lemira a deep, thoughtful look. Sometimes, he felt Lemira seemed wise beyond her years, showing a maturity that didn’t quite match her age.  After a bit of conversation, Lemira stood up, “Guess I’ll head out and sort my discharge paperwork to get back to school. I’ll swing by to check on you later.”  “No need. I’ll be out of here soon enough. Don’t worry about me.”  He was lucky the car had been modified; otherwise, he might not have survived that crash. He wasn’t about to let this go unanswered. He had no evidence yet, but there were plenty of ways to take on the Sinclairs. He chose not to tell Lemira, though. He didn’t want to drag her into this mess.  Leaving the ICU, Lemira bumped into the stunning woman she saw the day before. Both stopped in their tracks.  Sophia was the first to break the silence, “Well, we met again. Here to see Orion?”  “Yeah, you too?”  As Lemira sized up the beauty before her, she couldn’t help but wonder about the nature of their relationship. Friends?  Sophia flashed a smile, “Yep. Mrs. Everhart sent me with some comfort food. Once he’s discharged, we should all get together for a  meal.”  Lemira managed an awkward smile, her emotions fluctuating as she watched Sophia walk away.  What exactly was the relationship between Orion and this gorgeous woman? Lemira hesitated, contemplating whether to dig deeper into the situation.  Ultimately, she lacked the courage and took the elevator back to her room. She was at a loss regarding how to view Orion now, her mind a complete whirlwind.  A nurse approached, “Ms. Langston, your discharge is all set.”  “Got it. Thanks.”  Before leaving, Lemira sent Orion a message. [I’m heading out, get some rest.]  Orion’s eyes were tinged with a smile as he received the message. [Take care of that scar on your forehead. I’ll bring you some scar cream that works wonders.]  “Drie, did you hear me?”  Sophia, cautiously eyeing Orion, noticed the tender look on his face as he checked his phone. Who sent him messages?  The moment Orion looked up, his expression turned frosty, “I’ll talk to my mom. No need for you to be a messenger.” “Orie, why do you have to be so cold to me? Everyone’s saying you were out with a girl, which led to that accident.” “You can leave, and take whatever you brought with you.”  Orion’s handsome features remained impassive as he stared at Sophia, showing no sign of emotion.  Sophia was not ready to give up, “Orie, I don’t mind your affairs outside. I’ll take good care of Mrs. Everhart and be a good wife,”  “Sophia, you and my mom are spreading rumors about us being engaged. But you know well I never agreed to any of this. There has never been anything between us.”  Sophia’s face soured, “But we are a good match, and there’s nothing wrong with our families uniting. You’ve changed a lot after coming back from Lyria. Did you meet someone you like there?”  “That’s my business, and I don’t owe you any explanations. Leave!”  Sophia stood up, seething. She was determined to find out who that girl was. Could it have been the one she just saw?
