Chapter 289  Clara’s face changed drastically. No way, she would never do that!  Lemifa’s expression turned icy, “What, is Jackson chickening out now? Well, he doesn’t have to eat his hat, but there’s an alternative.  Jackson visibly relaxed, “Okay, what’s your idea?”  “Just stand at the entrance and shout three times, ‘Lemira, I’m sorry, I’m a dumbass. Then we’ll call it even.”  She wasn’t a saint, and she determined to have the last word. But Jackson balked at the idea.  Michel sneered, “Jackson, I didn’t realize you were such a coward!”  Red–faced with embarrassment, Jackson eventually stood at the entrance, yelling, “Lemira, I’m sorry, I’m a dumbass!”  Lemira captured the moment on her phone, and then walked into the hall with Michel, leaving Jackson looking striking sour.  ara, always one to stir the pot, whispered, “Jackson, there’s gotta be something fishy between Lemira and that guy. Why else would he defend her?”  “You might be onto something. I mean, I practically know all the influencers around, and Lemira? Never heard of her before!” Jackson spat, “Lemira, that witch, I’ll make her pay soon.”  “Exactly, we can expose her on spot. After all, she’s not even an influencer, just clinging to men to get ahead. The real deal influencers will definitely shun her.”  Clara was already picturing Lemira ostracized and humiliated.
