Chapter 299

“Scum! Freak!” The girls hurled insults at Jackson, some even throwing trash cans. He was a mess, seemingly with a broken leg, painfully crawling down the stairs.

The dorm keeper arrived. “What’s going on? Why are you attacking him?”

Seeing the keeper, Jackson blurted, “Lemira started it! She called me a creep!”

The keeper quickly interjected, “Jackson was participating in a drill. He’s no creep!”

Realizing the situation, Lemira knew the keeper had been bribed. Clara, flushed, ran to Jackson, hugging his neck. “Jackson, didn’t you say you’d sneak into Lemira’s room tonight and drug her? Why are you leaving?”

Lemira saw Clara was intoxicated. She glared coldly at the keeper. “That’s the truth. Call the police!”

The keeper protested loudly. “No! It’s a misunderstanding!” Panic set in; police involvement could cost her job.

Clara shouted, “This is no misunderstanding! Jackson planned this for Lemira! It’s not the first time, is it? You always turned a blind eye!”

The keeper paled. “You’re talking nonsense! I knew nothing!”

“Stop the nonsense and get out of my way!” Jackson shoved Clara away, then threatened Lemira, “I won’t let this go!”

Lemira smirked coldly. “Save it for the police.”

Police cars arrived. Officers detained Jackson. “You’re coming with us.”

“I’ve been framed!”

Lemira scoffed. “Framed into dressing as a woman and sneaking into the girls’ dorm at night?”

“I was in a drill, with the keeper’s approval.”

The keeper denied frantically. “Don’t talk nonsense! I didn’t allow anything!”

Regardless of Jackson’s pleas, he was taken away. Lemira felt a sense of justice.

The terrified keeper confronted Lemira. “You and Jackson were a couple! Why did you do this?”

“I have nothing to do with Jackson.”

“No relation? He confessed his feelings for you publicly.”

Lemira’s scorn was evident. “His confession makes us a couple? Don’t slander me. Worry about explaining the bribes and letting boys into the girls’ dorm.”

The keeper collapsed, realizing her predicament. Janice applauded. “Lemira did the right thing! She got rid of the evil!”

“Right, Jackson’s trouble. He’s harmed many girls.”

Lemira was applauded. She knew justice had prevailed. She addressed the girls, “Everyone, rest. Send the videos you recorded to the school as evidence. They can silence one of us, but not all of us!”

They were all heroes. Lemira returned to her room.

Soon afterward, Janice helped a visibly shaken Clara back to her room.
