Was he spying on Lemira again? That’s off-limits. Dorian clicked his tongue in annoyance, “Cut it out.” But when he looked up again, Lemira and her crew had vanished. Must’ve been his imagination.

Only then did Dorian coax Evelina: “What else would I be looking at? Who could be prettier than my treasure? Just curious what Lemira’s boyfriend looks like, that’s all.”

“He’s pretty handsome, but broke as a joke, taking her to some dive for their dates.”

Evelina was in a good mood. “Then you better take me to Bistrova, I want to snap a few pics for Facebook.”

Upon arriving at Bistrova, Dorian was surprised to find out there were no tables available. “I had a reservation, used my cousin’s card,” Dorian argued.

“Mr. Draven instructed not to let you use his card anymore.”

Dorian’s pride took a hit, and he called Thaddeus, “Cuz, why can’t I use your card anymore?”

“I told you to stay out of the whole Lemira thing, did you listen? And then spreading rumors in the lawyer circles, who do you think you are?”

Thaddeus gave Dorian a piece of his mind and hung up. Dorian’s expression turned sour.

Evelina approached, “Dorian, what’s wrong? Can’t we get in?” She had been looking forward to this, especially after boasting in front of Lemira.

“It’s because of you; spreading rumors got back to my cousin. He warned me to stay out of it, or my mom’s gonna have my head.”

Evelina became cautious, “But it was Susanna who started the rumors.”

“My cousin isn’t dumb, he must’ve heard something.”

Evelina was curious, “Why is your cousin so protective of Lemira?”

“I’ve been wondering too, if there’s something going on between them. Remember when I got hurt in Lyria? My cousin came personally. Otherwise, I would’ve made a big deal out of it!”

Evelina paused, recalling the man who had visited Dorian in the hospital. “That man in the hospital, your cousin?”

“Exactly, why else would I drop the case against Lemira!”

Evelina went pale, “But that man seemed close to the school doctor.”

Who would’ve thought a simple school doctor could be tight with an heir of the Draven family?

Dorian was puzzled, “Probably friends, I’ll ask my cousin. But for now, I can’t afford to mess with Lemira; my cousin won’t let it slide.” Evelina could only manage a forced smile; tears were out of the question.

If that man was Dorian’s cousin, had she already made a bad impression? Would he complain to Dorian’s mother? Evelina’s heart sank, all thanks to Lemira! She could’ve made a good impression in front of the Dravens. What now?

Back in her dorm, Lemira saw a message from Orion: [Ran out of the plaster?] She checked; indeed she had. [Where’d you buy it?] she responded. She couldn’t find the brand online. [e not available in stores.] [How much? 4’ll send you the money.]
