Chapter 435

Orion stood at the doorway, looking like the Grim Reaper himself. The folks from TG Group were completely taken aback at the sight of him. What was the Everhart heir doing here? The woman leading the group was especially flustered.

Orionโ€™s face was a stormy shade of gray: โ€œGet out!โ€

The woman hurriedly tried to explain, โ€œWeโ€™re here on business, dealing withโ€ฆโ€

Orionโ€™s hand whipped back, hurling a mug from the table at them: โ€œGet out, donโ€™t make me say it a third time!โ€

The woman, unwilling to give up just yet, attempted to speak again when her colleague grabbed her: โ€œLetโ€™s go.โ€

Didnโ€™t they see Mr. Everhartโ€™s furious expression?

Lemira, noticing his mood, quickly said to the woman, โ€œWhatever manager you are, I donโ€™t care whoโ€™s backing TG Group, but I absolutely wonโ€™t cooperate with any statement youโ€™re planning.โ€

The woman looked at Lemira in surprise: โ€œDonโ€™t you know who he isโ€ฆโ€

Orionโ€™s cold gaze swept towards the woman, filled with warning. The woman was dragged out by her colleagues, knowing if they stayed any longer, theyโ€™d probably be resigning from their jobs at the personnel department tomorrow.

Lemira glanced at the departing trio: โ€œThey must be the PR team hired by Caspian; heard theyโ€™re quite formidable, having the Everhart family as their backing.โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t worry about it; TG wonโ€™t be taking this case.โ€

Orionโ€™s tone was firm as he laid out some food on the table: โ€œEat something.โ€

Lemira glanced at him cautiously: โ€œYou mean, reach out to Matthew?โ€

She knew Orion was on good terms with both Thaddeus and Matthew; maybe they could pull some strings.

She faced Orion: โ€œI have an idea.โ€

Orion handed her the utensils: โ€œLetโ€™s hear it.โ€

โ€œI could hire TG Group as my PR team, paying them as agreed, so as not to put Matthew in a tough spot. What do you think?โ€

Orion looked at her deeply: โ€œEat first.โ€

โ€œYou donโ€™t think itโ€™s a good idea?โ€

โ€œIโ€™ll contact Matthew; you eat something first.โ€

Lemira then began to eat, her right hand injured, making it difficult to use her left. She found it hard to pick up food, often dropping it.

โ€œClumsy, now you realize itโ€™s inconvenient?โ€

Orion took the food container, feeding her himself.

Lemira paused: โ€œCould you possibly lower yourself a bit? You make it seem like youโ€™re feeding a pet.โ€

โ€œQuite the list of demands.โ€

Though Orion said this, he still crouched in front of Lemira. She glanced at the man before her, her gaze darting away.

Chapter 430

After a few bites, Lemรญra shook her head: โ€œI canโ€™t eat anymore.โ€

โ€œRest well.โ€

โ€œBut I saw the TG Group people havenโ€™t left.โ€

Lemira had noticed the trio still outside, likely not leaving without a fuss.

Orion calmly passed her a napkin: โ€œIโ€™ll handle it; you rest.โ€

โ€œButโ€ฆโ€

โ€œLemira, how about trying to rely on me for once?โ€

His gaze was intense, overwhelming Lemira.

She coughed, turning her head: โ€œBut I canโ€™t always depend on you.โ€

โ€œWhy not?โ€

His tone made Lemiraโ€™s heart flutter, her eyes questioning Orion: โ€œBut you said beforeโ€ฆโ€

He had encouraged her to make new friends at college, to start a new life.

Orion looked at the girl, covered in bruises: โ€œBut now, I regret it.โ€

He couldnโ€™t bear the thought of seeing her alone in an abandoned building, crying and hurt like today.

Lemiraโ€™s cheeks warmed considerably: โ€œAre you confessing to me?โ€

She wasnโ€™t naive, sensing a change in Orionโ€™s attitude over time.

Orion flicked her forehead: โ€œI thought you didnโ€™t get it?โ€

He stood up: โ€œI just thought you were too young, but nowโ€ฆ I can wait.โ€

He couldnโ€™t stand to witness todayโ€™s events ever again.

Lemira blurted out: โ€œYou donโ€™t have to wait.โ€

She spoke, feeling her face burning.

Orionโ€™s lips curved slightly: โ€œAt least wait until I deal with the people outside.โ€
