“I’m not sure how long I will hold up; what can Asher do to me anyway?”

Thinking of Lucian’s illness, Lemira said, “Then you should get the surgery first. We can file the lawsuit after you’ve recovered.”

“Lemmy, don’t worry about me.”

“I’m not worrying about you, don’t flatter yourself. I still need to prepare the evidence. It’s not as simple as just showing up in court.”

Lemira had to wait for Evelina to make a move at the foundation before she could collect solid evidence to file the lawsuit.

“Lemmy, what about Caspian?”

Lemira’s tone was laced with sarcasm, “If he can’t handle Evelina, he thinks he can persuade me? Dream on.”

With that, she hung up the phone. She needed to start preparing for the press conference, and she couldn’t wait any longer.

After a call with the PR team, she set the time for the press conference—it would be tomorrow.

Back at the dorm, Lemira told Janice, “I won’t be going to the base tomorrow afternoon.”

“Alright, got something up your sleeve? A date, perhaps?”

“No, I’ve got a press conference tomorrow afternoon. I might as well blow this thing wide open, keep the Langston family from hassling me.”

After her hospital visit today, Lemira was particularly eager to hold the press conference.

“Asher really crossed the line, making you out to be the villain, all to save Caspian. Even giving your parents’ heirlooms to an adopted daughter. Disgusting.”

Lemira’s eyes sparkled with mockery, “That’s how they’ve always been.”

Every time they messed up, they would try everything to force her to back down.

After talking to Janice, Lemira decided they should head to the cafeteria for dinner, glancing at her new roommate, “You wanna join? Or should we bring something back for you?”

The new roommate shook her head, “No need, someone’s bringing me dinner.”

Nodding, Lemira left the dorm with Janice.

After they left, the new roommate, having overheard Lemira’s conversation, finally took out her phone and sent a message.

The next day, after her classes, Lemira headed to TG Group to meet up with the PR team.

As Lemira got out of the car, she saw the TG Group’s towering building. Rumor had it several of these buildings belonged to the Everhart Group. The Everhart family truly was top-tier wealth.

After meeting up with Debby, they left the building together.

But then, Mrs. Amanda stepped out of the elevator and caught a glimpse of Lemira’s back, her expression instantly tensing, “What’s she doing at TG Group? Check it out.”

Soon, her assistant made a call and reported back, “Lemira is about to hold a press conference. Seems like she’s planning to expose something big, invited a bunch of media.”

“She wouldn’t dare reveal her relationship with my son, would she? This needs to be stopped.”

Mrs. Amanda rushed upstairs. The relationship with the Sinclair family was already strained; she couldn’t afford another scandal.

When Lemira arrived at the press conference venue, she saw a crowd of media already gathering. This time, she was determined to lay bare the truth, including that the hot scripts and upcoming movies credited to Caspian were actually her work.

Sitting at the podium, she felt a wave of nerves.

Debby whispered reassuringly, “If you’re unsure what to say, just follow the speech we prepared. Anything goes wrong, give me a look.”

“Got it, no problem.”

Lemira picked up the mic, ready to speak, when suddenly, the journalists seemed to receive a simultaneous alert, rising up and leaving en masse.
