Caspian finally cooled down. “Asher, I poured my heart into this company. Evelina doesn’t deserve to even touch it.”

“But I’ve already got Eve signed to the company with an artist contract. All the top scripts in the future will have her as the leading lady, including a supporting role in a movie releasing in a few months.”

Asher’s tone was still as arrogant as ever. “The contract is signed and effective. If you want to break it now, it’s going to cost you a fortune to compensate Eve.”

Lemira couldn’t help but smirk. When it came to being unpleasant, Asher always had a knack. He’s moving fast, assigning all these roles to Evelina already!

Caspian snorted. “So what? The company has its plans, and with Evelina’s acting skills, it would be an embarrassment to even let her out.”

As long as the company wasn’t under Asher’s control, Evelina wouldn’t get any good resources.

Lemira looked at Evelina with a half-smile. “As the boss, I must say, you really need to up your acting game, try to actually bring some revenue to the company. Oh wait, your acting has always been top-notch; acting is definitely your calling.”

Evelina’s face twisted in anger at these words. After all, what Evelina wanted was to be the boss of the company, having the final say in everything. But Lemira beat her to it, stealing what she considered rightfully hers, and that was something Evelina couldn’t stand.

Caspian mocked, “Her acting is so bad, aside from pretending to be frail within the Langston family, she’s nothing outside.”

Evelina stormed out of the break room, her eyes red with rage, feeling utterly humiliated.

Asher looked at Lemira, “You really have a way with things, getting them on your side!”

“It’s not about being capable; I’m just not in the wrong. They stand with me out of guilt.”

But Lemira wasn’t sure how long this guilt would last. All she needed was to corner Evelina enough for the person behind the scenes to emerge.

“Sure, Lemira, don’t think you’ve won just yet.”

Lucian piped up, “Asher, haven’t you always wanted us to be a family again? Now that Lemmy has agreed not to pursue Caspian and Alaric’s actions, you should keep your promise and let Lemmy come back home.”

Asher adjusted his tie. “I did say that, but has anyone truly admitted their mistakes?”

Lemira responded coolly, “I won’t admit to mistakes that aren’t mine. The ones who should, aren’t me.”

“Right, the mistake isn’t Lemira’s, it’s ours.”

Alaric entered, looking remorseful at Lemira. “I was fooled by Evelina before, it’s true. And Caspian is right; I’m not innocent. I’m willing to transfer my shares in the Langston family to you as compensation.”

Caspian added, “Lemira, Alaric, Lucian, and I, we’re all sorry for what we did before. You were right.”

Lemira didn’t respond immediately.

Lucian wheeled closer, “Lemmy, we all know we were wrong. Can you come back to the Langston family?”

Lemira noticed Evelina standing at the door, realizing she hadn’t left. Evelina dreamed of driving her out of the Langston family, taking her place, including Evelina’s father’s position. She wouldn’t let them have their way.

Her lips curved into a cold smile. “Fine, I accept the reconciliation!”

As long as she pretended to return to the Langston family, Evelina and whoever was behind her would probably get restless.

After Lemira’s declaration, Evelina couldn’t help stepping out from behind the door, looking pitifully at Asher, “Asher, do you accept her back into the Langston family too?”

Lemira, that wretch, why does she have to come back after leaving?
