Chapter 90

Lemira never felt at home with us, and now, with Lemina stirring things up, it feels like we're pushing her out. But Lammy's been through a lot over the years, too! Her father saved her life. A little hardship for Lemina, in comparison, is nothing. We should be thankful and show some gratitude.

Hearing this, Lucian suddenly clutched his chest, struggling to breathe from the anger. He blacked out, Lemira's name still on his lips. It was his fault; he had made a terrible mistake.

Leaving Langston mansion, Lemira hailed a cab to the apartment. She was finally free from the Langstons' shadow. About to knock on Orion's door, it swung open. "Congrats, sweet Lemon!" Thaddeus held a party cracker, showering her in colorful confetti.

Lemira was surprised. Orion wasn't far behind, leaning against the kitchen island, a small cake nearby. "Is it someone's birthday?" Lemira asked, taken aback.

Thaddeus grinned. "Isn't today like your rebirth, leaving the Langstons and all? Got a cake to celebrate that!" Understanding Lemira's ordeal with the Langstons, he felt compassionate, compelled to support her.

"Thanks," Lemira's eyes tingled with emotion.

"Don't mention it; we're friends after all. Let's eat, blow out the candle, and make a wish."

Lemira wished for a life free from the Langstons, to live for herself from now on.

After dinner, Orion asked calmly, "What do you want to do now?" Whatever it was, he was ready to support her.

Lemira pondered, "Maybe start a live stream and earn some money." Since she'd left the Langston mansion, making a living was her immediate priority.

Thaddeus chimed in, "There's this Hall of Fame ranking event starting tonight in the gaming world. You could stream that, sweet Lemon."

Lemira remembered the event well. In her past life, she had ranked highly, but Alaric gave her account to Evelina. Every glory ultimately went to Evelina. Now, she wouldn't let that happen again.

Orion gazed at her. "Which platform are you thinking of streaming on?"

Thaddeus suggested, "How about PixelStage? It's a reputable company, great treatment for newbies." Most importantly, PixelStage was a branch owned by the Everharts. Orion swept a warning glance at Thaddeus.

"Sure, whichever platform offers better profit, I'll go there."

Lemira knew of PixelStage, the Everharts' property in Nyric. Alaric also had a live stream platform, VibeCast, but it was inferior to PixelStage. In her previous life, VibeCast went viral after they won the finals, a success likely impossible without her. In this life, Alaric's company would likely fail without her.

In the end, Lemira signed up on PixelStage under the username SweetLemon. She started her stream, focusing the camera on her keyboard and hands instead of her face, using her past life's experience to navigate the game efficiently.

Outside the study, Thaddeus glanced at Orion. "Aren't you going to help her with points?"

"No need. She'll make it to the top hundred tonight on her own."

"You're that confident in her? I'll drop some gifts in her stream. Don't forget to reimburse me!"

As Thaddeus joined Lemira's stream, he noticed few viewers, only one troll posting comments like, "[Damn, is she cheating? How can she rack up points so quickly?] I'll hit the wall if she doesn't cheat! I bet she'd lose while advancing to the next round!"

Lemira saw the troll's comments. Suspecting she cheated, other viewers started entering to check. In her first battle, she defeated her opponent with one swift move, leaving online viewers buzzing with astonishment.
