Chapter 95
Lemira didn't care if Alaric recognized her voice. She dove into the game, ready for her first battle. Reaching this level meant facing formidable opponents.
Her first match was against a berserker, incredibly tough and difficult to defeat. Her opponent taunted, "Girl, beg for mercy now, and maybe I'll go easy on you. After all, a spot won by hiring a ringer won't save you."
Lemira ignored the taunt, letting her gameplay speak for itself. Five minutes later, her opponent was defeated. Lemira won!
After each battle, there was a three-minute break. The chat in Lemira's streaming room exploded with reactions: "Where's that cocky guy now?"
Watching the stream, Alaric was astonished. The streamer's voice was identical to Lemira's. He wondered if he was mistaken.
He turned to his secretary, asking incredulously, "Did the streamer just speak?"
The secretary nodded. "Yeah, sounds like a young girl. Something wrong?"
Alaric remained silent, captivated by the stream, his emotions turbulent. SweetLemon. He hadn't made the connection sooner; Lemira's childhood nickname was Lemon.
Suddenly, Alaric felt breathless. If it was Lemira, the implications were overwhelming.
Evelina approached. "Alaric, what's wrong? You look pale."
Alaric's Adam's apple bobbed. "That streamer's voice... it's just like Lemira's! Could they be the same person?"
Evelina responded, "Alaric, after hearing that streamer yesterday, I wondered if it might be Lemmy too. But I figured it was just a coincidence. People having similar voices isn't that unusual, right?"
Alaric felt reassured. "You're probably right. It's probably just a coincidence." He didn't want to believe it was Lemira; the thought was too daunting.
The secretary excitedly added, "Boss, the streamer's fans have hit 200,000, and 100,000 are watching the stream!"
Alaric exclaimed, "That fast?"
"Yes, she hasn't lost a single match and has been winning effortlessly!"
"If we could recruit her to our team, the finals would be in the bag."
Exhilaration flashed in Alaric's eyes. Evelina, observing from the sidelines, struggled to control herself. If they recruited this person, what would happen to her?
After two hours of streaming and ten consecutive wins, Lemira reached the top 100. Smiling, she massaged her sore wrists, noticing the continued influx of gifts.
Lemira spoke into her microphone, "Thanks for all the gifts, guys. I'll be back tomorrow to climb further. This is my first time streaming, so I'm still learning."
The chat erupted: "[Goddess, can you drop some gunner tips?]" "[Yeah, I wanna be a gunner too, taking out those jerks!]" "[Ms. Lemon, you can't log off just yet. You gotta hang with us, chat a bit, shoot the breeze.]"
Lemira replied, "Regarding the gunner guide, I might not finish it today, but let's talk about the ten matches I just won, and how I beat them."
She opened match replays, analyzing them meticulously. Her voice was calm, her analysis clear and insightful.
