Chapter 285: Tracking Her Down

Bill couldn't help but praise her. โ€œI never wouldโ€™ve guessed, but Ben, this young man, really has things figured out. If the two of them end up together, Iโ€™ll be at peace.โ€

โ€œAnd with Ben as the Alpha of the Midnight Pack and Layz as the Alpha of the Shadow Pack, the two of them together will only make both packs stronger,โ€ Dorothy added, clearly impressed with Benjamin.

โ€œBut Ben also said theyโ€™re just getting engaged for now, and theyโ€™ll take their time with the wedding, which is perfectly fine.โ€

The two of them exchanged a smile.

Hayleyโ€™s POV:

I was a bit annoyed that my grandparents had gone on a trip without telling me. Initially, I had been hoping they would come back to the Shadow Pack, but now it seemed like Iโ€™d have to wait a bit longer before returning.

Still, I didnโ€™t dwell on it too much. With my time off, I decided to start looking for Christine. It was strange, though. All the evidence pointed to Christine having returned home, but after all this time, she hadnโ€™t come back or even contacted her family.

I thought about it for a moment, then opened my computer. โ€œThomas, has the SkyEye system bug been fixed yet?โ€ I sent him a message.

A short while later, I received his reply: โ€œItโ€™s been fixed, Alpha. Do you need to use it?โ€

I responded with a simple yes, then added, โ€œI want to find someone. Letโ€™s see if SkyEye can help us track her down quickly.โ€

Thomas, eager to help, asked, โ€œAlpha, who are you looking for? Just send me the details, and SkyEye will find them within a day.โ€

I sent over Christineโ€™s information. โ€œLet me know as soon as you get any news.โ€

Thomas sent a quick OK and immediately began searching for Christine using the system. I took a deep breath, hoping weโ€™d find her soon. And I thought that with SkyEye, it should only take a short time to locate Christine.

But three days later, there was still nothing. It was as if she had vanished without a trace.

โ€œAlpha, do you think someone is intentionally hiding her whereabouts?โ€

I sank into deep thought. Who could have such power to block all traces of her?

As I was lost in thought, there was a knock at the door. I snapped back to reality, thinking it was Lista, andโ€ฆ

But there was no reply, and I was a little surprised. I stood up and went to open the door. When I did, I froze.

โ€œGrandpa, Grandma, what are you doing here?โ€ I asked, my voice filled with excitement.

Grandma opened her arms wide. โ€œMy Hayz, let me see youโ€™ve been doing well.โ€

I was shocked. โ€œGrandma, didnโ€™t you two go on a trip? Why are you back so suddenly?โ€

Grandma didnโ€™t answer but gave Grandpa a look. He casually said, โ€œWe got tired of traveling, so we came back.โ€

Looking at him, I raised an eyebrow. โ€œReally?โ€

Grandma nodded, and I decided not to press the issue further. I was just so happy to see them. โ€œGrandma, Iโ€™ve missed you so much!โ€

With that, I wrapped my arms around her and wouldnโ€™t let go. Grandma, unable to resist, gently patted my back. โ€œYouโ€™re too old to be acting like this.โ€

I stuck out my tongue. โ€œNo matter how old I get, Iโ€™ll always be a child in your eyes.โ€

Grandma lovingly ruffled my hair and playfully chided, โ€œYou little rascal.โ€

With that, I led her into the room, while Grandpa said he was going downstairs for a coffee.

As soon as the door closed, Grandma suddenly turned serious and said, โ€œHayz, we know about you and Ben.โ€

I froze.
