Chapter 282

General Jenkins’s men faced off against the Murray family’s army. The air crackled with murderous intent.

“Go in and save him!” Adjutant General Damon ordered.

“No, you won’t!” General Jenkins blocked the way, drawing a gun. “Anyone who takes a step forward will be shot!”

“You can try,” Adjutant General Damon said, unfazed, and stepped forward.

“You’re fucking testing me!” General Jenkins gritted his teeth, fury in his eyes.

As the two sides clashed, several military helicopters appeared, whirring through the air before hovering overhead.

“That’s Chief General…” General Jenkins’s face broke into a delighted grin. “Hahaha! Spanner’s private helicopter! Damon, you’re dead meat. Let’s see what you can do with Chief General Spanner himself on the field!”

Chief General Spanner was known for protecting his subordinates. He wouldn't stand idly by while they were attacked. He envisioned Adjutant General Damon receiving a brutal beating.

The crowd parted as the helicopter descended and landed. The cabin door opened, and a handsome young man with a commanding presence stepped out, accompanied by several female officers.

“Chief General Spanner, you came just in time!” General Jenkins scurried forward, fawning over him. “These treacherous rascals are trying to incite a prison break at my base. I hope you’ll set things straight, Chief General Spanner! He committed a heinous crime—tormenting the people! I was just about to torture him, too!”

Adam’s eye twitched, a murderous glint in his eyes. “Torture him? Where is he?”

“He’s tied up over there!” General Jenkins pointed.

Adam’s eyes widened. “F***, it really was him!”

When he first heard Dustin Rhys’s name, he’d held onto a sliver of hope. Many people share names. What if it was a coincidence?

Unfortunately, he’d encountered Dustin. And in this manner…

Hidden in the crowd, Jade laughed. “Rhys, even Chief General Spanner is here! Let’s see if you live to see another day!”

Initially, the size of the Murray family army worried her. But now, with Chief General Spanner present, everything would be alright. Who would dare cross him?

“Chief General, this guy’s tough. I tried to torture him earlier, but failed. No worries. Since you’re here, I’m sure you have a way to deal with him.” General Jenkins smiled ingratiatingly, oblivious to the gravity of the situation.

“Your name is Richard Jenkins, right?” Adam asked.

“That’s right! I’m the deputy general of the White Tiger Army under your command. I didn’t think you’d remember me, Chief General!” General Jenkins beamed.

“Capture him, strip him of his position, and prosecute him.” Adam gestured, and two female officers immediately apprehended General Jenkins.

“Chief General, what did you say?” General Jenkins was bewildered. Everything had been going so well; why was he being fired?

Adam ignored him, jogging to Dustin. “Buddy, sorry about my subordinate. He caused you so much trouble.”

Silence fell over the crowd.
