Chapter 387

Aulas didn't speak but pulled Caspian to his feet.

"We'll talk about this later," Atlas said, his eyes scanning the surroundings warily. Except for the Bennett Villa, he felt there was nowhere safe. Their movements could be monitored at any moment.

"Fine," Caspian muttered, nodding. He had no choice.

The two drove back to the Bennett Villa, but the atmosphere inside felt suffocatingly tense. They exchanged a glance before quickly entering.

"Good-for-nothing! Who told you to marry her? A widow from the Stewart family! How dare you?" Windsor yelled, his face contorted with fury. He threw his coffee cup, shattering it against the wall.

His chest ached terribly; it was still bandaged from his injuries. He'd been rushed to the hospital but they refused to admit him, demanding payment before dismissing him. He would never forget the doctor's cold look: "Sorry, we don't accept members of the Bennett family here. You can leave now. You're not going to die." After paying the bill, the doctor called security to escort him out. Windsor had never felt so humiliated. Even injured, the hospital refused to treat him.

He'd barely returned to the Bennett Villa when Henry arrived, further fueling his anger. Windsor hurled an ashtray at Henry, hitting him on the forehead. Blood seeped from the wound, but Henry merely sneered, his eyes cold.

"Compared to you, what am I?" Henry said. "You even dared to sleep with Sophia! You abandoned your wife and children for years to enjoy yourself abroad. Did you ever care about the family? When things went wrong, I had to take responsibility. Now you're back, acting high and mighty? You came back and immediately slept with Sophia? Who do you think you are, telling me what to do? I married Edic because she has the backing of the Stewart family. Even if she didn't, she's still connected to the Simpson family. But what about you? Who do you rely on? That adopted daughter of yours?"

He continued, "You don't know, do you? She sleeps with anyone. She's seduced every man in the Bennett family, even sleeping with a conman to buy Love Spell."

Windsor was stunned, his anger surging. He wasn't scolding Henry to assert his authority, but he hadn't expected such disrespect. Just then, Atlas and Caspian returned. Seeing Henry humiliate Windsor only increased his shame.

"Enough," Windsor gritted, his face paling as blood seeped from his chest wound. He clutched his chest, collapsing onto the couch.

"Mom!" Atlas and Caspian rushed forward.

Windsor froze. He'd expected them to check on him, but they walked past him toward the hallway, heading straight for Hannah.

Hannah, struggling down the stairs with her still-unhealed broken leg, leaned heavily on the handrail. Her face was dark as she regarded the living room. Atlas and Caspian quickly supported her to the couch. She looked at Windsor, clutching his chest, then at Henry.

"Isn't the Bennett family chaotic enough? Since we're divorced, Windsor, you should know the Bennett family isn't solely yours, and the Bennett Group isn't something you control," Hannah said sternly. "If you lay a hand on your sons, don't blame me for throwing you out."

Windsor stood frozen, unable to believe what he was hearing. "Is this the woman who used to cower before me?" he wondered. "A few years, and she doesn't even care?"

"This is truly something," Windsor said coldly. "It was you who climbed into my bed. Don't forget what you promised when you married me."

Hannah's face drained of color. He pulled something from his pocket and squeezed it. Hannah's eyes widened as she reached out to stop him, but a sharp pain shot through her chest. She coughed up blood and fell to the floor with a thud.

"Mom!" The others rushed to her. Caspian scooped her up and carried her upstairs while Atlas called a doctor. Only Henry remained calm. He watched Windsor, his eyes darkening. He sensed a connection between the object Windsor held and Hannah's blood. What secret is there between our parents? he thought. Why did Sophia get Love Spell, and manipulate Finnion?

Everything felt odd. The Bennett Group's downfall couldn't be solely attributed to the Stewart family. There was something else.

"What is it? What is going on?" Henry muttered. He felt close to understanding, but the answer eluded him.

"Henry, don't forget you're a member of the Bennett family," Windsor's cold voice interrupted. He tucked away the object, placed a hand on his chest, and headed upstairs.

Upstairs, Henry stared at him with hostility. Windsor sneered. Passing Hannah's bedroom, he hesitated before entering his study. The sight of Atlas and Caspian only fueled his disdain. He closed the door, a wave of nausea rising in his chest. He coughed up blood, collapsing to his knees. He fumbled for his phone and dialed a number.

"What's going on? Why is my body reacting this way? Why has everything gone wrong since I returned? You said that once three years passed, everything would go smoothly. Why is everything falling apart as soon as I return?" Windsor demanded, his voice trembling with suspicion.

He doubted he'd been deceived, but for three years abroad, everything had gone smoothly.

"Show me your face on video," the voice on the other end said.

Windsor switched to video mode, but the screen was black. He couldn't see the other person, though his face was visible. The study was dark, eerily silent. He waited for an answer, but the call abruptly ended.

"What does this mean? Damn it, you're messing with me?" Windsor muttered in disbelief. The video call had been disconnected.
