Chapter 258
โDid you get the photo?โ Uriah leaned over to look. โThe address was sent too, and this was sent at noon. You didnโt go to check it out?โ His face was full of disbelief.
โDo you think he would fall for someone like Yara?โ Calliope replied casually. โI thought someone was playing a prank on me.โ
Uriah was speechless. โThe photoโs so suggestive, and you didnโt feel a twinge of jealousy?โ
โIs it necessary?โ
โNot entirely,โ Uriah clapped. โYouโre impressively calm.โ
Calliope stood up. โThanks for letting me know. Iโll check it out.โ
Uriah got up too. โIโll come with you lest she gives you a hard time. Maybe I can help!โ
Calliope glanced at Uriah. โYou seem pretty excited. Are you just in it for the drama?โ
โDid you catch that?โ Uriah chuckled. โNothing much is going on, and itโs not every day you get to see Silas in a tight spot.โ
Calliope didnโt object to Uriah tagging along. She headed out, and Uriah, along with a couple of bodyguards, drove with her to Yaraโs place.
Yaraโs villa was in the suburbs.
When Calliope arrived, a large iron gate blocked her way. The gate swung open as she was about to call the number that had sent the message.
Calliope walked in. Uriah and the bodyguards followed her lead.
Just as they stepped into the garden, Calliope halted.
โWhatโs up?โ Uriah stopped as well.
โThereโs a hidden path, like a puzzle,โ Calliope calmly observed. The garden had several paths, and choosing the wrong one might trigger traps.
She picked a path after a quick look and signaled for Uriah and the others to follow her. They soon made it through the garden.
Once inside, an arrow suddenly shot toward Calliope, who effortlessly sidestepped it.
She glanced up toward the arrowโs direction and saw a woman standing on the balcony, holding a crossbow.
The woman smirked at her. She had voluminous curls, fiery red lips, and a matching dress. She looked incredibly striking.
Calliope recognized her. It was Yara. In the elite circles of Capitalton, she was quite famous. Any woman close to Silas would be intriguing.
Yara had a brother named Maddox Xander, who was Silasโ good friend. After Maddoxโs death, Yara took over his ventures, transforming from an inexperienced heiress to a formidable figure.
Calliope had heard stories about her and knew a bit about her background. It was no secret that she had a thing for Silas.
After Maddox passed, Silas offered her much support. His involvement in her growth was significant. Her feelings for Silas werenโt surprising. It was hard for a woman to resist a man who had always protected her, helped her grow, and whom she admired and respected.
โYara,โ Uriah called from beside Calliope, looking up.
Yara smirked again before disappearing inside.
After a moment, Yara appeared before them. Her features were strikingly fierce, her makeup bold, and her figure perfect. Even Calliope had to admit, she was captivating.
