Chapter 194

โ€œHa! Haha.โ€ As the words left Josiahโ€™s mouth, Sienna burst into laughter. She laughed so hard tears streamed down her face, and she couldn't stop.

โ€œSienna,โ€ Josiah called.

โ€œYouโ€™re absolutely right,โ€ Sienna continued to laugh, her features lively and showing no sign of anger. She genuinely found it amusing. โ€œFour years have passed, and I havenโ€™t changed. Neither have you.โ€

Just like back then, no matter what happened, he would stand by Yvette without question. Sienna sighed silently, aware of the origin of her past "villainess" reputation. He only saw her losing her temper and acting impulsively, never bothering to ask why. But times had changed. Four years had passed. What used to bother her no longer mattered.

After her laughter subsided, Sienna said lazily, โ€œSorry, but Iโ€™m never going to apologize. Never. Isnโ€™t there someone else for that, Mr. Flynn?โ€

She smiled at Josiah. โ€œYouโ€™re Yvetteโ€™s loyal lapdog. Youโ€™re so low. Youโ€™ll surely be able to appease her, just like you did back then.โ€

Amidst the manโ€™s furious roar, Sienna raised her hand and swept everything from the table to the floor.

โ€œAh!โ€ Yvette jumped in surprise.

Josiah was so angry his head throbbed, and the veins on his forehead bulged as he enunciated her name: โ€œSiโ€“enโ€“na!โ€

โ€œIโ€™m right here,โ€ Sienna said, meeting Josiahโ€™s gaze with a light smile. โ€œIโ€™ll add a little more spice. Make sure to comfort your darling.โ€ She thought, If he wants to go crazy, I can go crazy too. No one will be left unscathed. With that, she turned expressionlessly and walked away.

Yvette, a bit intimidated, asked Josiah, โ€œAre you alright?โ€ Josiah stood, exuding an oppressive cold aura.

Yvette thought for a moment, then pushed him. โ€œThis is my fault. I caused you two to argue. Why donโ€™t you go after her? She wonโ€™t go far without a car.โ€

โ€œNo way,โ€ Josiah said, suddenly turning. He thought, Why chase after her? Look at the mess she made! The bottle of maple syrup heโ€™d run two blocks to buy was spilled on the ground.

He thought, No matter how good I am to her, sheโ€™s an ungrateful wretch! Calling me low? Yes, Iโ€™m low! Low for being so good to her!

After leaving Silver Beach, Sienna sat on the bus, gradually calming down. She admitted sheโ€™d acted impulsively.

She thought, Those two were indeed repulsive, but is it my first time realizing it? For Joyceโ€™s sake, shouldnโ€™t I have endured it? Yet, I havenโ€™t.

Josiah hadnโ€™t been wrong about one thing: itโ€™s hard to change oneโ€™s nature. Deep down, she hadnโ€™t changed. She still got agitated easily, a trait she didnโ€™t share with Yvette. A miscalculation indeed. She wondered, What now? Can it be that things with Josiah are over? Itโ€™s easy to say. Does that mean I have to go back and beg for his forgiveness?

She closed her eyes and leaned back. Whatโ€™s done is done. She wouldnโ€™t think about it for now. She wasnโ€™t in the mood to attend to him today. Once back in the city, she returned to the Audu Manor.

She hadnโ€™t seen her mother in days and was overjoyed at her daughterโ€™s excited chattering. โ€œMommy, mommyโ€ฆโ€

โ€œYes, yes,โ€ Sienna played along, unbothered by the noise. All morning, Joyce followed her everywhere, even into the bathroom.

โ€œMommy,โ€ Joyce called from outside the bathroom door, sitting on a little stool. โ€œWhy are you taking so long?โ€

Sienna was amused and at a loss. How can I explain that her presence made things a bit difficult?

โ€œBe a good girl, Joyce, and go play with Tara for a while. Mommy will be out soon,โ€ Sienna said.

โ€œOkay, Mommy.โ€ After putting her daughter to sleep, Sienna left the Audu Manor and headed to the dance troupe.

10:30 PM

Upon arriving at the dance troupe, Sienna spotted Rosie at the end of the staff. She wasnโ€™t alone; Daniel was with her.

โ€œSay what you have to say quickly,โ€ Rosie said coldly. โ€œTimโ€™s still at work. Hurry up.โ€

โ€œWhat kind of attitude is that?โ€ Daniel frowned, impatient. โ€œIf you hadnโ€™t blocked me, do you think Iโ€™d come looking for you?โ€

โ€œHumph,โ€ Rosie sneered. โ€œSo reluctant? Then donโ€™t come.โ€

โ€œYouโ€ฆโ€ Daniel was taken aback. โ€œI wonโ€™t waste words with you. Iโ€™m here to tell you, this weekend, come home for dinner!โ€

The Hunter family had a monthly gathering, and no one was allowed to miss it. Rosie smirked, thinking, He still cares about face, doesnโ€™t he?

โ€œDid you hear me?โ€ Daniel said, having no intention of lingering. โ€œAlso, hurry up and remove me from your blacklist!โ€

He left. Sienna, having been unable to hear their conversation, went into the changing room. Shortly after, Rosie returned, pale and holding her stomach.

โ€œRosie, whatโ€™s wrong?โ€ Sienna quickly helped her sit down. โ€œIs it that time of the month?โ€

โ€œYeah,โ€ Rosie nodded.

โ€œWait here,โ€ Sienna said. โ€œI have some cocoa in my locker. Iโ€™ll make you a cup.โ€

โ€œOkay, thanks,โ€ Rosie said.

โ€œYouโ€™re welcome. What are you thanking me for?โ€ Sienna soon returned with a cup and some ibuprofen. โ€œItโ€™s hot. It will make you feel better. Do you want to take this?โ€

โ€œNot right now,โ€ Rosie said, smiling. โ€œItโ€™s not that bad.โ€ Sheโ€™d mainly been angered by Daniel.

โ€œAlright, if it gets really bad, ask me for it,โ€ Sienna said.

โ€œOkay,โ€ Rosie smiled. โ€œYouโ€™re really well-prepared.โ€

โ€œYeah. Because every time it comes, itโ€™s like a disasterโ€ฆโ€ Sienna froze. My period this monthโ€ฆ why hasnโ€™t it come yet? She checked her calendar: it was already a week late.

Could it beโ€ฆ? Her heart rate increased. Could it possibly beโ€ฆ what Iโ€™ve been hoping for? Calm down. Whether it was or not, a trip to the pharmacy would tell.

Taking advantage of practice time, Sienna went to a nearby pharmacy. After buying a pregnancy test and returning to the dance troupe, she locked herself in a bathroom stall. She carefully read the instructions and followed them.

Closing her eyes, she clasped her hands together, praying silently. โ€œPlease, please God, bless me! Please let it be two lines.โ€ Five minutes passed.

Sienna opened her eyes, held her breath, and picked up the pregnancy testโ€ฆ
