Chapter 283

Early the next morning, Sienna awoke to the doorbell. It was Josiah. "So early?" Sienna opened the door. Josiah had brought a home helper. "I called her to prepare meals and do your laundry."

Rosie, who was blind, required constant care. Josiah, however, didn't want Sienna to shoulder that burden; she had never done it for the Flynn family and shouldn't have to for Rosie.

"Thank you, Josiah," Sienna said.

Josiah frowned. "Don't thank me. It's inappropriate." He then smiled, wrapping his arms around her waist. "Come on, give me a kiss."

Sienna was startled. Her breath quickened, and she struggled against him, anxious. "Don't..."

"What are you afraid of?" Assuming shyness, Josiah said, "The helper's working, and Rosie can't see."

"Well, you could show some restraint," Sienna frowned. "The doctor said to be especially careful during the first three months."

"Oh," Josiah lowered his head, placing his palm on her belly. "Alright, you are the most precious right now." He added, "A kiss shouldn't be a problem, right? Just one more..."

"Sienna?" Rosie called out, having awakened.

"Rosie!" Sienna seized the opportunity, pushing Josiah away. "I'm here; please be careful and don't move around too much." She went inside.

Josiah still wanted more kisses. After a moment, Sienna helped Rosie out and was surprised to find Josiah hadn't left.

"Is there anything else?" Sienna asked.

"Yes," Josiah replied, smiling. "Rosie, this concerns you."

"Me?" Rosie asked, confused, settling down with Sienna's help. "Mr. Flynn, what is it?"

"You still need to continue your eye treatment, right?"

Rosie replied slowly, "I suppose so." She longed for sight but didn't know where to seek treatment or if a cure was even possible. She had only recently regained her freedom and hadn't considered it yet.

Sienna understood Josiah's intentions. "Do you know any doctors?" The Flynns likely knew reputable ones.

Josiah winked. "If Rosie says yes, I can help."

Rosie bit her lip. "I don't want to trouble you."

"Nonsense," Josiah smiled at Sienna. "You're Sienna's friend, and you've helped her a lotโ€”getting a doctor for you is no trouble at all."

"Sienna..." Rosie knew Josiah's help stemmed from Sienna and didn't know how to respond. Sienna felt a mix of emotions; she hadn't expected this.

The thought of leaving Jeiacrity unsettled her, but she couldn't neglect Rosie. Taking a deep breath, she smiled at Josiah. "Josiah, please make the arrangements."

Josiah gently touched Sienna's cheek. "Then it's settled for tomorrow morning. I may not be available, so I'll have Howard come instead."

"Howard?" Rosie and Sienna were surprised.

"What's with the surprise?" Josiah chuckled. "Only Howard can get that renowned doctor, and besides, he's not busy."

Sienna nodded. "Settled."

After Josiah left, Sienna took Rosie out to a meeting with Hannah's cousin. Since Rosie needed assistance, Sienna brought her along.

Upon arrival, Sienna found a seat. "Rosie, I'm sorry for dragging you along."

"No, I should apologize," Rosie blinked. "You're busy, yet you still take care of me."

"That's what friends are for," Sienna said, and they smiled.

"Excuse me, is this Sienna?"

Sienna stood. A young man in his thirties, impeccably dressed in a suit, stood before her, his features vaguely resembling Hannah's.

"Hello, Dorian," Sienna greeted him, extending her hand. "I'm Sienna." She glanced behind him, noticing the absence of an assistant.

"Don't look for anyone else," Dorian smiled. "I'm here to handle your matters."

"Is that appropriate?" Sienna felt flustered.

Though they'd never met, Hannah had described Dorian as a respected Jeiacrity lawyer, comparable to Gilbert, running his own firm and handling significant cases.

Dorian smiled, taking a seat. "You're Hannah's friend, and helping you won't take much effort."

His assurance eased Sienna's unease. Smiling gratefully, she said, "Thank you, Dorian."

"Please, sit," Dorian gestured. "Have you brought the relevant documents?"

"Yes, I have," Sienna nodded, producing a folder. "It's all hereโ€ฆ"

"Good, let me take a lookโ€ฆ" Dorian reviewed the documents carefully, selecting what he needed. "I'll keep these. I'll call if I need anything further."

"Thanks, Dorian."

Dorian chuckled. "I'll still collect my fees, but I'll give you a friend's rate."

"Dorian, do you have time for lunch? I'd like to treat you to express my gratitude."

"Sorry," Dorian declined, smiling. "I don't have the time; maybe another day." He closed his briefcase. "I'll call. I must go."

"Take care."

"Siennaโ€ฆ" Rosie grabbed Sienna's arm once he left. "Are you leaving Jeiacrity?"

"Yes," Sienna replied honestly. "Once everything is settled, I will leave."

"And what about Mr. Flynn?" Rosie asked. "Aren't things going well between you two?"

Sienna chuckled softly, helping Rosie to her feet. "I'll tell you on the way."

As they walked back to City Pearl, Rosie clasped her hand. "Sienna, just follow your heart."

"Uh-huh."

"You're back?" Daniel stood at their apartment door, a cigarette in his mouth, eyeing Rosie mockingly. "I thought you were dead."
