Chapter 337

โ€œExactly,โ€ Sienna murmured, letting the idle chatter wash over her as she ate.

โ€œExcuse me, may I sit here?โ€ someone asked. An empty seat sat beside Sienna. She looked up to see the young driver from earlier.

โ€œOf course,โ€ Sienna smiled and nodded. The production crew was providing the meal, so everyone was welcome.

โ€œThank you,โ€ the driver replied, shyly smiling as he sat down. โ€œThere arenโ€™t many people over here. Josiah is also present today.โ€

โ€œYeah,โ€ Maggie remarked. Most preferred sitting closer to the director and producers. Maggie frowned, then pouted. โ€œI told you to sit at the table near Mr. Carter, but you wouldnโ€™t!โ€ she complained to Sienna.

โ€œIsnโ€™t this nice!โ€ Sienna smiled, offering Maggie some food. โ€œItโ€™s quiet. No oneโ€™s fighting for food, so you can eat more. Isnโ€™t that great?โ€

Maggie sighed, shaking her head. โ€œYou have no sense at all!โ€

The driver coughed lightly, looking at Sienna nervously. โ€œSienna,โ€ he began.

โ€œHmm? Whatโ€™s up?โ€ Sienna asked, turning.

He rubbed his hands together, growing more nervous. โ€œItโ€™sโ€ฆโ€

โ€œWhat is it?โ€ Sienna prompted.

At Charlesโ€™s table, Josiahโ€™s gaze remained fixed on Sienna. His expression soured the moment the driver sat down. Seeing them speak, he abruptly stood, putting down his wine glass. โ€œMr. Carter, excuse me.โ€

โ€œJosiah, where are you going?โ€ Yvette tried to stop him, but failed, watching helplessly as he walked towards the corner table. She gritted her teeth and followed.

In the corner, the driver, flushed and stammering, said, โ€œSienna, may Iโ€ฆ can I add you on WhatsApp?โ€

Sienna was surprised. Does this really need to be so nerve-wracking? she thought. Maggie whispered, โ€œSienna, I think heโ€™s got a crush on you.โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t be ridiculous,โ€ Sienna frowned. Isnโ€™t this loud enough already! she thought. The driverโ€™s face reddened further. Sienna smiled awkwardly. Adding a contact was no big deal; no need to make a fuss.

โ€œShall I scan your code?โ€ the driver asked, unlocking his phone.

โ€œGo ahead,โ€ Sienna replied, taking out her phone as Josiah approached, watching them with a cold stare. He curled his lips into a sneer.

Maggie quickly stood, noticing Josiah first. She forgot to look at Sienna. Sienna glanced up briefly, then returned to her phone, presenting it to the driver.

โ€œHere you go,โ€ she said.

The driver excitedly scanned the code. Josiah watched, irritation simmering. Did Sienna not see me? Adding WhatsApp contacts! Is she trying to make me furious? he thought.

โ€œMr. Flynn, please have a seat,โ€ Maggie said, pulling out a chair for Josiah when she couldnโ€™t get Sienna to move.

Then, she was stunned. Josiah straddled his long legs, sitting unceremoniously in Maggie's previous spotโ€”next to Sienna. His hawk-like eyes scanned the young driver, hostility evident. The driver shuddered, unaware of their history, merely finding it odd. Why is Mr. Flynnโ€ฆ he wondered. Out of politeness, he nodded at Josiah with a smile.

Josiah rested his arm on the back of Siennaโ€™s chair. โ€œDo I look like Iโ€™m in a good mood?โ€ he asked, his tone menacing. โ€œIโ€™m not in a good mood at all.โ€

Sienna frowned. What is his problem now? she wondered.

The driverโ€™s mind went blank. What is going on? Have I offended Mr. Flynn? How can a nobody like me offend such a powerful figure? he thought, deciding not to push his luck. He turned back to Sienna.

โ€œSienna, may I ask you a question?โ€

โ€œSure, go ahead,โ€ Sienna said, too preoccupied to notice Josiah.

โ€œWell, umโ€ฆโ€ he hesitated. โ€œDo youโ€ฆ do you have a boyfriend?โ€

Sienna was taken aback. Maggie was right. How should I answer this? she thought.

Josiah leaned over, pointing at her water glass. โ€œIs this yours?โ€ he asked.

Sienna frowned. โ€œWhat do you want!โ€

โ€œScared I might drink from the wrong oneโ€ฆโ€ Josiah raised an eyebrow, picked up the glass, and drank the remaining water, her lipstick mark still visible. โ€œThirsty,โ€ he said, smiling at Sienna. โ€œWhy are you staring at me like that? I drank a bit of your water, and youโ€™re going to get mad?โ€

He nodded to the driver. โ€œDonโ€™t just stand there. He asked you a question. Do you have a boyfriend or not? Why arenโ€™t you answering?โ€

Sienna, suppressing her anger, said, โ€œI donโ€™t have a boyfriend.โ€

โ€œSienna!โ€ Josiah grabbed her wrist, growling. โ€œSay that again!โ€

โ€œLet go!โ€ Siennaโ€™s anger flared. She shook off his hand, meeting his gaze. โ€œSay it a million times, I still donโ€™t have a boyfriend.โ€

Josiah seethed. โ€œDo we have to make a scene?โ€

Sienna shook her head coldly. โ€œThink Iโ€™m making a scene? Just do as I say, and everyone will be happy.โ€

The driver, dumbfounded, quietly left, heartbroken.

Josiahโ€™s phone rang; it was Howard. โ€œHello, Howard?โ€ As he answered, Sienna turned to leave. โ€œCome back!โ€ Josiah grabbed her. โ€œSit down! Donโ€™t go anywhere!โ€ His grip was tight. Sienna struggled, but gave up in frustration. Josiahโ€™s expression changed as he listened to Howard.

โ€œIโ€™m on my way!โ€ Josiah said.

After hanging up, Yvette rushed over, having witnessed everything. She was also on the phone, her expression mirroring Josiahโ€™s. โ€œJosiah, letโ€™s go!โ€

Josiah nodded, frowning at Sienna. โ€œYouโ€™re coming too!โ€

โ€œMe?โ€ Sienna asked, confused. โ€œWhy?โ€

Josiahโ€™s voice softened. โ€œGrandmaโ€™s not feeling well. Sheโ€™s in the hospital. Shouldnโ€™t you come with me?โ€ He took her hand, pulling her close. โ€œLetโ€™s go.โ€
