Chapter 339

โ€œSienna, youโ€™re even more detestable than I imagined,โ€ Yvette interrupted coldly, folding her arms. โ€œYou always torment Josiah like this. Do you enjoy it?โ€

Sienna was taken aback. Her gaze sharpened as she glared at Yvette. โ€œI torment him?โ€ she retorted.

Sienna sneered. โ€œThis is a case of setting a thief to catch a thief! Iโ€™m leaving, as you two can confer and accept each other as you please.โ€

Josiah and Yvetteโ€™s expressions turned serious. Sienna had overheard their conversation. Josiah felt embarrassed; he didn't understand Yvette's outburst.

โ€œSiennaโ€ฆโ€ Josiah grabbed her arm, refusing to let go.

โ€œArenโ€™t you going to let go?โ€ Sienna looked at him amusedly. โ€œIโ€™ve said it before, Howard is with Rosie, and your chance has come.โ€

โ€œNo!โ€ Josiahโ€™s voice was hoarse with anxiety. โ€œIโ€™ve told you, I only want you.โ€

Yvette thought, Only wanted Sienna! Her eyes shook, fine cracks appearing. Her lips curled. Interrupting abruptly, she addressed Sienna, โ€œSo, youโ€™re making a scene because of what I said?โ€ She glanced at Josiah, her tone cold and clear.

โ€œI did say that to Josh just now, but it was a joke. Josiah and I both happen to be single. I was feeling sentimental and spoke without thinking.โ€

Josiah, feeling more confident, looked at Sienna hopefully. โ€œYou heard it, right? Yvette was just joking.โ€

Sienna thought, Just joking? She found it laughable. Struggling with her wrist, she said, โ€œThatโ€™s your business. It has nothing to do with me; no need to explain.โ€

โ€œSiennaโ€ฆโ€ Josiah said.

โ€œIndeed, thereโ€™s no need to explain,โ€ Yvette agreed. She snorted. โ€œSienna, youโ€™re still as troublesome as before, just in a different way. Isnโ€™t Josiah pampering you enough? You should beโ€ฆโ€ She continued, โ€œAfter all, youโ€™re not his girlfriend now. Even if I reallyโ€ฆ pursued him, you have no right to say anything.โ€

โ€œYvette!โ€ Josiahโ€™s scalp tightened. โ€œStop, okay? Sienna is already very upset.โ€

Yvette pursed her lips. โ€œAlright, Iโ€™m doing this for your sake.โ€

Sienna laughed coldly. โ€œYvette, youโ€™re really good at pretending. But do you know what? Youโ€™ve lost all your dignity!โ€

Yvetteโ€™s face stiffened. โ€œWhat are you saying?โ€

โ€œCanโ€™t understand?โ€ Sienna clenched her teeth, forcefully breaking free from Josiah, meeting Yvetteโ€™s gaze. She spoke slowly, word by word. โ€œLet me make it clear. Youโ€™ve been indecisive between the two brothers, liking and wanting both of them.โ€ She added, โ€œNow that the older brother is out of the picture, you turn to the younger one. But you didnโ€™t expect that heโ€™s not that easy to win over, did you?โ€

Sienna burst into laughter, feeling satisfied. Her eyes were sharp. โ€œCaught by me, afraid of being rejected, so you claim it was a joke! Such a silly excuse, only to fool yourself!โ€

She pointed at Josiah. โ€œI dare say, he understood it too. Do you believe it or not?โ€

โ€œShut up!โ€ Yvetteโ€™s face tensed, turning pale then red, her teeth clenched in anger.

Sienna laughed heartily. โ€œWanting both brothers, fickle and inconsistentโ€”thatโ€™s exactly you!โ€

โ€œSienna! Stop!โ€ Josiah said. Before Yvette could lose control, he wrapped his arm around Siennaโ€™s waist and lifted her. โ€œWeโ€™re leaving.โ€

โ€œJosiah!โ€ Sienna was shocked, her legs kicking, but she was overpowered. She was carried away.

He didnโ€™t go far, just to the hall. Josiah put her down. โ€œDonโ€™t run, your legs are short. No matter how far you run, I can catch you.โ€

โ€œWhy catch me?โ€ Sienna asked.

She brushed her hair, teasingly saying, โ€œYour sweetheart confessed to you. Shouldnโ€™t you be overjoyed and quickly accept her, so you two can be happily together?โ€

โ€œStill talking?โ€ Josiah raised his voice. โ€œThat was just a joke she made!โ€

โ€œA joke?โ€ Sienna stopped laughing, speaking seriously. โ€œBelieve me, women understand women better. She wasnโ€™t joking. She really likesโ€ฆ umโ€ฆโ€ Her mouth was silenced by a kiss.

This kiss, somewhat punitive, was lingering, deep, and nibbling. โ€œOuch!โ€ Sienna protested, but he didnโ€™t stop.

After several minutes, he released her. Siennaโ€™s mouth was swollen, her lips bright red. Josiah, proud and resentful, caressed her lips. โ€œIf you keep talking nonsense, Iโ€™ll kiss you again, an hour at least. If you donโ€™t want your mouthโ€ฆโ€

โ€œHow is it nonsense?โ€ Sienna didnโ€™t take it seriously. She was earnestly telling him.

She looked at him suspiciously. โ€œDo you really not believe it, or because youโ€™ve been expecting it for too long, youโ€™ve lost your sense of reality? Afraid to believe? Let me tell you, itโ€™s true. Your dream girl really confessed to you. Umโ€ฆโ€

Again, Josiah lowered his head and kissed her. He chuckled. โ€œIf you want me to kiss you, just say it. Iโ€™ll fulfill your wish. Why be so roundabout?โ€

โ€œUmโ€ฆโ€ Siennaโ€™s eyes widened.

โ€œFocus, if youโ€™re going to kiss, do it properly!โ€ Josiah said.

Mirandaโ€™s examination results came out. No serious issues, but she needed overnight observation. Josiah first sent Sienna back to Sunshine Neighborhood. On the way, she remained silent.

He dropped her off at the apartment entrance. โ€œI have to go to the hospital early tomorrow. I wonโ€™t pick you up. Iโ€™ll meet you at the crew in the evening.โ€

Sienna, knowing she couldnโ€™t stop him, didnโ€™t argue.

โ€œGo inside,โ€ Josiah patted her hair. โ€œGet some rest early.โ€ He warned, โ€œFocus on filming, donโ€™t casually add anyone on WhatsApp. Men can be bad.โ€

Sienna sneered inwardly, Yes, the worst one is right in front of my eyes.

After leaving Sunshine Neighborhood, Josiah returned to the Flynn residence. Heโ€™d been discharged from the hospital and was living alone in Silver Beach, but Miranda insisted he stay in the old house.

He reached the staircase and encountered Yvette coming downstairs for a drink.

โ€œYvette,โ€ Josiah said, slightly taken aback and uncomfortable.

โ€œBack already?โ€ Yvette said, unfazed, raising her cup. โ€œIโ€™m just getting water. Iโ€™ll head up now.โ€

Josiah nodded slightly. He watched her go, lost in thought. Is what Yvette said just a joke?
