Chapter 367
โWill he?โ Sienna tilted her head, confused. She seemed unable to quite believe he would be mad.
Seeing her dazed expression, Maggie raised her voice. โOf course, he will! Mr. Flynn loves you so much!โ She stomped her foot. โYou need to think carefully about how youโre going to explain this to him.โ
Sienna let out a cold laugh and nodded casually. โGot it.โ
Maggie fumed. โThese shameless media outlets are really out of control,โ she said, quickly swiping through her phone. โLook at this! Theyโre saying youโre dating someone. How is that even possible? For clicks, theyโll publish any old story!โ
Sienna was surprised by Maggieโs agitation. โDo you believe me?โ
โOf course,โ Maggie replied without hesitation. โYouโve got a perfect man like Mr. Flynn. How could any other guy catch your eye?โ
Sienna finally understood. Maggie didnโt trust her; she trusted Josiah. A faint smile touched her lips as she slowly shook her head.
Maggie paused, noticing something in Siennaโs expression that seemed slightly judgmental. She wondered, Did I say something wrong?
At the hospital, Josiah emerged from the ward, encountering Zach, who seemed hesitant. โWhatโs up?โ Josiah asked, his voice tired. He was too exhausted for pleasantries.
Zach understood but, out of consideration, hesitated. โMr. Flynn, itโs about Siennaโฆโ He opened a trending topic on his phone and showed it to Josiah. โTake a look.โ
Josiah took the phone. His expression darkened as soon as his eyes fell on the headline. He clicked on a photo; his eyes flashed with fierce intensity at the man depicted. He closed his eyes, suppressing his anger. When he opened them again, he asked Zach, โIs Sienna on set?โ
โYes,โ Zach replied.
Josiah instructed, โStay here. If Yvette wakes up and asks for me, tell her Iโm with Howard. If she gets upset, get a doctor. Keep an eye on her.โ
โYes, Mr. Flynn,โ Zach responded.
Josiah rushed to the set.
Meanwhile, Sienna had finished filming. She removed her headpiece and elaborate hairstyle, preparing to remove her makeup.
Maggie burst in, excited. โMr. Flynn is here!โ she whispered, winking. โMake sure you talk things through with him. Donโt brush him off.โ
The others in the dressing room quickly left, leaving Sienna and Josiah alone. Sienna sat before the mirror, watching him approach. She began removing her makeup.
Josiah pulled up a chair, sitting beside her. Spinning his phone, he said casually, โAll done? Are you leaving right after finishing your makeup?โ
โMaybe later,โ Sienna replied, not looking at him.
โSienna,โ Josiah said, unable to contain himself. He set down his phone, unlocking it. His voice softened. โWho is he?โ
Sienna paused, glancing at the phone. Her tone was even more indifferent than his. โNo idea.โ
โReally?โ Josiah repeated, narrowing his eyes. โHe was holding your hand.โ
Sienna froze, remembering Conner handing her his business card.
โIt was the angle,โ Sienna said faintly, shaking her head. โWe didnโt shake hands.โ Her expression was calm, but her indifference was unmistakable.
โIs that all?โ Josiah frowned, clearly irritated.
Sienna nodded. โWhat else do you want me to say? Donโt you believe me?โ
Josiah suppressed his frustration, growing more upset. โIโm not doubting you, but this is all over the trending topics. Canโt you explain it to me to put my mind at ease?โ
There was a short silence. Sienna looked at him coldly. โAre you mad? Itโs just a small thing. No need to get worked up over it.โ
A knock came at the door. Sienna said, โCome in.โ
Gavin entered, grinning. โExcuse me, Mr. Fischer sent over afternoon tea for the crew. An assistant signed for it, and I just wanted to let you know, Sienna.โ
Sienna frowned, thinking, Mr. Fischer? Is it Conner? Since it was already received, she smiled and said, โI see. Thanks.โ
โOkay,โ Gavin said, nodding. โIโll leave you to it.โ He left, understanding the situation.
Sienna saw that Josiahโs face had darkened, his eyes filled with chilling coldness.
โNow, do you still think itโs a small matter?โ Josiahโs voice was tight with frustration. He remembered sending afternoon tea before, and her scolding him to stop. โThis man has ill intentions toward you. Donโt tell me you donโt know that!โ His words dripped with sarcasm and reproach.
Sienna frowned. โSo what if thatโs the case?โ
Josiah froze. โWeโre about to get married!โ
โWhy are you yelling at me?โ Sienna smiled faintly, shaking her head. โShould I feel sorry that someone is pursuing me? Besides, given the current situation, Iโm not even sure if weโre going to get married.โ
Josiahโs face changed, revealing jealousy, anger, and fear. โWe will! You promised me!โ
โWhatever you say,โ Sienna nodded, too tired to argue. She stood, pretending to leave.
Josiah grabbed her wrist. โWhere are you going?โ
Sienna pointed to the door. โIโm going to have afternoon tea. Didnโt you hear?โ
โYouโre not going anywhere!โ Josiah shouted.
โWhy are you yelling?โ Sienna was startled. โWeโre not even married yet, so whatโs wrong with me having someone pursue me? You can watch over your sweetheart all day, but I canโt even enjoy some afternoon tea? Iโm going, whether you like it or not!โ
She freed her wrist and ran out.
Josiah raised an eyebrow. Where does this guy come from? Everyone here knows Sienna is my woman. After the trending topic a few days ago, how dare he do this in front of me?
He rushed after her.
Sienna enjoyed afternoon tea with colleagues, laughing and chatting. Josiah watched silently, knowing she was doing this on purpose. He didnโt know what to do.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Yvette finished treatment. She sat in her wheelchair, holding her phone, displaying Siennaโs Instagram. She knew everything. After a long silence, she pressed the emergency button.
