Listen to this chapter:

Tylerโ€™s eyes narrowed. โ€œDo you think heโ€™s pursuing me?โ€

Rachel looked confused. โ€œWasnโ€™t he?โ€

She realized something was wrong the moment the words left her lips.

โ€œNo, to be more accurate, he was pursuing both of us.โ€

Rachel didnโ€™t know why seeing her with Tyler drove Howard mad. What exactly did he want?

Tyler dusted the ash from his cigarette with his fingers.

โ€œYou could say that Howard is interested in you. He sees me as an enemy he wants dead. The relationship between the three of us has become rather delicate. Heโ€™s getting a little too excited.โ€

Rachel said worriedly, โ€œYou should know that his grandfather treats him like a precious treasure. No one in Yurelia City dares to lay a finger on him. That collision seemed pretty serious. Will he get you in trouble?โ€

โ€œHe started it first. I was fighting a potential criminal. His grandfather should be thanking me for stopping his spoiled brat of a grandson from getting into even bigger trouble, which might drag their entire family down.โ€

Tyler spoke in a leisurely and relaxed tone, as if the car chase with Howard just now was nothing but a harmless game.

Rachel recalled a news report a few days ago โ€“ about Howard drugged and locked up in a small, dark room, almost to the point of losing his life.

Having heard William earlier, it was clear that he didnโ€™t have the guts to lay a finger on Howard. The only one who could be behind it was this man before her, who didnโ€™t give a damn about anyone.

โ€œWhatever it is, youโ€™d better watch out,โ€ Rachel advised.

Tyler burst out laughing; he flung the cigarette on the ground and stubbed it out with the toe of his custom-made leather shoe.

โ€œWhy are you being such a busybody about other peopleโ€™s affairs? Take care of yourself first.โ€

Rachel looked at him doubtfully. โ€œWhat do you mean by that? Would he make me compensate him for his car?โ€

She clearly couldnโ€™t afford it. With only two such cars in the world, she wouldnโ€™t be able to pay for the damages even if she sold herself.

Tyler bent over and whispered in a deliberately mystifying tone, โ€œWorse than that.โ€

The solemn look on his face made Rachelโ€™s heart tighten in fear. โ€œWould Howard ask his grandfather to silence me?โ€

She knew that the Ziegler familyโ€™s influence stretched beyond the country. Would offending Howard affect her future plans to move abroad?

Tyler noticed the tense look on Rachelโ€™s face, her brows knitted together so tightly.

โ€œDonโ€™t worry. If you really have no other way out, you can work for me.โ€

Rachel looked at him doubtfully. โ€œWhat can I do?โ€

โ€œBe my dogโ€™s nanny. Take care of his food and daily life. Play with him, take him for walks, and coax him to sleep at night. This shouldnโ€™t be too difficult.โ€

Tylerโ€™s gaze landed on her slightly pale face.

Rachel gritted her teeth and rejected him without hesitation. โ€œThank you for your kindness, Mr. Hunt. Unfortunately, I donโ€™t think Iโ€™m up for the job. Youโ€™ll have to find someone better.โ€

Chapter 58.

Tyler sighed helplessly. โ€œWhat a pity. You just missed a great opportunity for further development.โ€

Rachel could almost feel her chest imploding as the veins on her forehead popped.

How was being a dogโ€™s nanny a great opportunity for further development?

Just then, Tylerโ€™s phone started buzzing. He retracted his gaze and pulled his phone out from his pocket. When he saw the name on the screen, his brows furrowed. He turned around and answered the call, his voice cold and indifferent.

โ€œWhat is it?โ€ he snapped.

โ€œCome back right now!โ€
