“That’s perfect!” Willow said excitedly as she poked at the screen.

“I know a florist who can get fresh flowers. I’ll have her send over a few pots on the day itself. I guarantee you they’ll fill the venue with floral fragrance!”

Tyler saw the delight in Rachel’s eyes and held her hand tight. “We’ll do that if you like the idea. Flowers sound like a great match for the pearls on your dress. The colors will add to the festivities.”

Rachel nodded and looked joyfully at him.

Polly saw the loving gaze they shared and nudged Zelda with a smile.

“Look at the two of them, they’re simply a match made in heaven! Mr. Lewis is a good judge of character, indeed. Rachel is gentle while Tyler dotes so much on his wife. Their married life will be blissful, I’m sure.”

Zelda nodded in agreement. “Exactly! We’ll have a new addition to the family once the baby is out. It’ll be even more lively during festivities and celebrations!”

Rachel never expected the relatives of the Lewis family to change so drastically. They used to treat her so callously, but for some reason today, they were full of smiles for her.

She remembered it as clear as day how terribly they used to treat her. Were pigs flying now?

Whatever it was, it was good as long as they didn’t do anything nasty to her. She came fully prepared to resist them if they treated her unfairly.

Just then, someone announced from outside, “William is back. He even brought a lady.”

Everyone in the room started buzzing with excitement.

“What’s going on? Will she be just like Samantha?”

“I’ve had enough of that woman! She looked obedient, but that’s about it. She’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing, that’s what she is. A woman like her is only good at scheming and lying!”

Polly glanced at the door. “That’s quite enough. Keep your comments to yourself. They’re coming.”

It was only recently that his relationship with Thomas seemed to improve, but it was certainly not fast enough for Tyler to be chummy with the rest of the family.

“Can’t believe you made time to come here.”

Tyler remained silent, not in a rush to respond.

Thomas spoke up, “I was the one who called Tyler to come home with Rachel. Do you have anything to say about that?”

William shook his head. “None at all, I’m just a bit surprised.”

Thomas turned to the lady standing next to William. “And this is…”

William started to introduce them. “This is Winnie, my girlfriend.”

Thomas surveyed Winnie from head to toe with a slight frown on his face. Something felt amiss, and when he looked into her eyes, he understood what was wrong.

She was a pretty lady with a sharp and petite face. Her skin was fair and dewy, and her lips were tinted with a rosy color. Her eyes were her best feature, large and bright with a keen look in them. They made her look slightly cold and distant.

Thomas retracted his gaze. “Since she’s your girlfriend, introduce her to the rest of the family.”

“Okay.”

William brought Winnie around and introduced her to various family members, whom she greeted one by one.
