Chapter 930

The look in Williamโ€™s eyes changed visibly when he was introducing Rachel.

Tyler looked hard at him. โ€œWhatโ€™s wrong, William? Why are you hesitating to introduce your aunt?โ€

โ€œThis is my aunt, Rachel Lloyd.โ€

Winnie knew nothing about Williamโ€™s divorce. In fact, she knew nothing about him except that he came from a wealthy and powerful family.

After the last time William chased her away from the bar, they hadnโ€™t contacted each other for a long time. Winnie liked him, but she knew her place.

Coincidentally, she bumped into a drunk customer who was pestering her when she knocked off last night. It was a customer she couldnโ€™t afford to offend, and even her manager couldnโ€™t persuade him to stop. She had just wanted to drink the wine he was forcing upon her in hopes that he would quit pestering her. He ended up pushing his luck and wanted to take her away.

That was when they bumped into William.

Winnie didnโ€™t dare to imagine what would have happened to her if she hadnโ€™t been lucky enough to bump into William.

To her surprise, when William brought her home, he asked her to be his girlfriend. Winnie couldnโ€™t believe it. She thought he was drunk and pulling her leg. It was only after she kept asking him about it that she realized William was being absolutely serious. Her heart belonged to him, and she naturally said yes to his question.

After that, he brought her here.

Winnie looked exceptionally obedient as she said softly, โ€œHello, Aunt Rachel.โ€

Rachel nodded politely. โ€œHello. Please have a seat. There are many snacks here. See if you like any of them.โ€

Winnie felt rather uncomfortable, but she looked innocent and didnโ€™t seem to have any tricks up her sleeves.

Rachel had a good first impression of Winnie, although she resembled Samanthaโ€™s style. However, Samantha was still different from Winnie. From the very first time Rachel saw Samantha, she knew that Samantha was scheming by nature and that her gentle meekness was just a facade. She could sense strong and haughty ambition in Samanthaโ€™s eyes.

Hence, Rachel didnโ€™t like Samantha right from the beginning.

Winnie was different, though. Her eyes were crystal clear, and Rachel could tell that she had just graduated from school. She started to worry that William was just looking for something fresh and novel and might end up hurting Winnie.

Winnie sat down and snuck a couple of glances Rachelโ€™s way. She gripped the hem of her dress tight. No wonder William kept saying they looked alike.

She didnโ€™t know who he was referring to, but having seen Rachel today, she knew who he was talking about.

William even wanted her to leave her hair long and made her wear a plain dress. Winnie finally understood that his preferences werenโ€™t random, and that those coincidences werenโ€™t for her sake.

Rachel didnโ€™t realize that she resembled Winnie. It was Polly who approached her, sat by her side, and whispered into her ear, โ€œWhy did William end up with a lady who looks so much like you?โ€

Rachel was puzzled. โ€œWhat? How does she look like me?โ€
