“The eyes. Don’t you realize her eyes resemble yours a lot?”

Rachel glanced in Winnie’s direction, and their gazes met. Winnie looked slightly awkward–she sat there stunned, unsure of what to do next. She continued staring at Rachel, her mind drawing a blank.

Rachel didn’t think anything of it. She simply smiled at Winnie politely before retracting her gaze.

“Do you see it? Don’t you think you two look alike?” Polly asked her.

Having gotten a better look, Rachel agreed. “You’re right, we do.”

Polly pursed her lips. “I was wondering why William brought a lady back home. It’s too late to have regrets for not being serious with you when you two were married.”

During the meal, Winnie pecked at her food and didn’t eat much. Rachel, on the other hand, had a great appetite, what with all the dishes on the table being her recent favorites. There were roast chicken, fish, and pork ribs–dishes that she had craved recently.

Tyler kept spooning food onto her plate.

“Try this, the fish is excellent. There are even prawns that you love. Don’t eat so much deep-fried food, it isn’t good for you.”

“I’ve never seen Tyler take such good care of someone else. He’s almost becoming Rachel’s mother,” Zelda teased.

“What do you know? They’re being lovey-dovey. Your husband ticks you off all day; you’re just jealous of them,” Polly teased Zelda.

“Fine, fine. But seeing how much Rachel enjoys eating spicy food, she’s probably carrying a girl. Girls are great. Look at that son of mine! All he does is make me angry all day long.”

Everyone chatted amicably with each other at the dining table.

After the meal, Tyler brought Rachel to the courtyard for a stroll. Meanwhile, Winnie dragged William aside.

“William, I have something to ask you.”

William knew what Winnie wanted to say even before she asked. He didn’t intend to hide the truth and stood up to follow her out. When they were in a room, she shut the door while he grabbed a chair to sit down.

“Shoot.”

“Did you ask me to be your girlfriend because I look like your aunt?”

“Don’t call her my aunt,” William said with a frown.

It made him exceedingly uncomfortable.

Winnie scoffed. “Why can’t I? It’s a fact that she’s your aunt. Wasn’t it clear enough at the dining table that she was going to marry your uncle very soon?”

Chapter 931

“I know that. I don’t need you repeatedly telling me that!” William yelled, his face flushing with anger.

Her eyes turned red like a frightened rabbit.

“Why are you so fierce to me? You approached me because I resemble her, right?”

The interrogative look on Winnie’s face right now reminded him of how Samantha looked when she used to pester him all the time.

“What’s the point of kicking up a fuss over this with me? What do you expect to hear from me? Must you hear an explanation from me? Know your place! Consider it a blessing that you resemble her. What else do you want me to say? That I really like you, that I fell in love with you at first sight? Do you really think that’s possible?”
