Hearing Aurora’s praise of Megan, the couple were both deeply shocked. At first, they truly thought Megan was only causing trouble for Aurora, but in the end, Aurora’s words about her were so high it surprised them.

Eleanor seemed to find her voice again and said to Aurora, “What we mean is, you can be stricter with Megan if you need to. This child is lazy at home all the time. If she says or does something wrong, you can correct her directly. You don’t have to spare our feelings.”

Aurora was caught off guard at first, but then she understood. They were simply too concerned about Megan, and that was why they said this.

“You can rest assured, Megan really listens to me. And since I’ve known you for so long, I have no reason to deceive you.” Aurora smiled. “Besides, I’ve long regarded Megan as family. She’s family not by blood, but by my choice. To me, she’s as important as my own life.”

The moment those words left her lips, Aurora was suddenly pulled into a hug. Tears welled in Megan’s eyes as she rubbed her face against Aurora’s neck. “Aurora, you’re too good. You’re really too good. I never thought I could be so important in your heart.”

Aurora was hugged tightly, hearing her words, she was momentarily stunned. Then she lifted her arms and hugged her back. “Alright, look at you, crying like this first thing in the morning. If your eyes swell up, you won’t look pretty later. Besides, I only said the truth. You don’t need to be so moved. Don’t you already know what place you hold in my heart?”

Seeing how close the two were, Eleanor and Robert finally felt relieved. In their circle, Aurora was considered an outstanding person. To have their daughter be so close to her, they felt truly fortunate. Now it seemed their bond was genuine, and there was no need for them to say more. Matters of the younger generation should be left to them.

After wiping away her tears, Megan finally remembered to ask why Aurora had come.

She gave Megan a speechless look. “You really don’t know why I came here?”

The next second, Megan shook her head earnestly. “I really don’t know. If you don’t say it, how would I know?”

Aurora took a deep breath, forcing down her irritation. “Why don’t you check your chat history then?”

“Oh, okay, I’ll take a look.” Megan finally pulled out her phone, belatedly realizing. When she saw the message about meeting the production team, she slapped her forehead. “I remember now, we had something scheduled today.”

Everyone was speechless.

Eleanor scolded, “Child, you already made plans with Aurora, yet you slept until now. Why didn’t you set an alarm?”

“I did set an alarm!” Megan looked aggrieved. She opened the alarm screen for Aurora and the others to see, and they all saw the endless list of alarms, practically going off every ten minutes.
