Aurora went straight to the point. “Hello, Mr. Smith, I’d like to ask, when will the show start filming?”

“Ah, did I not mention that to you?”

The director scratched his head awkwardly.

Aurora’s expression turned a little exasperated. “It seems you really didn’t.”

Hearing her words, the director thought carefully and realized he had actually forgotten such an important detail.

A bit embarrassed, he replied, “When I first spoke to you about this show, it was still in the planning stage. I’ve been busy looking for suitable cast members. So, Miss Walton, if you have other things to handle, there’s no rush. You can continue with your own work.”

He rubbed his head again, surprised at himself for forgetting to share something so crucial. If this kept up, wouldn’t it throw off her entire schedule?

He even felt a little guilty.

“It’s fine, really. Telling me now is good enough.” Aurora let out a small breath of relief. “I thought that since you approached me, the show was about to start filming. I didn’t realize you hadn’t even confirmed the lineup.”

The director gave a helpless smile. “One of the actors we had lined up has a scheduling conflict, so we’re still working things out with them.”

“Alright then, once you finalize the filming date, please let me know in advance.”

“Of course, I completely understand.” The director was easygoing. After realizing his oversight, he even sent Aurora a pile of gifts. But that was a story for later.

When she hung up, Aurora’s face showed pure relief. Even Lucas could see it clearly.

He quickly stepped forward, closing the distance between them. “So? Did the director say when filming starts?”

“The date hasn’t been set yet.”

Hearing that, Lucas immediately caught on. “Does that mean you still have plenty of time?”

Aurora’s eyes glimmered with a smile. “That’s right, I do have enough time. Once I finish things tomorrow, the day after I can go with you to meet your parents.”

“Good. Then I’ll let them know the time.” The moment Lucas said that, Aurora’s heartbeat quickened uncontrollably. She hadn’t expected this day to come so soon.

“Maybe…”

She reached out and tugged lightly at his sleeve, her expression still a little conflicted.

One glance was enough for Lucas to know what she was thinking. “What’s wrong? You’re still not ready?”

Aurora looked up abruptly, puzzled as to how Lucas always seemed to know what was on her mind. After a moment’s hesitation, she nodded.

“Yes, I’m still worried. I don’t feel prepared, and isn’t this all a bit rushed?” After all, she would be busy at the studio tomorrow, then heading to the family estate the next day. She wouldn’t even have time to prepare a proper gift. That thought alone made her feel pressed for time—if she had even a day or two in between, it would be better.

But Lucas didn’t see it that way. Taking her hand firmly, his gaze steady and earnest, he said, “Aurora, you don’t need to overthink. By my side, you’ll never have to worry about such things. And my parents only care about you. They don’t need gifts—just having you there is enough.”
