Chapter 13

The elevator stopped. The doors slowly opened, and Isabella remained silent. They walked out together, but after a few steps, a magnetic voice called from behind, "Bella."

They didn't need to turn around to know it was Jayden. George rolled his eyes and muttered, "There he is."

As Isabella expected, Jayden regretted his actions. She ignored him, continuing to walk.

Jayden's expression darkened. Infuriated by her disregard, he repressed his anger, strode toward her, and swiftly grabbed her arm. Isabella stopped, frowning. "Let go," she demanded.

Jayden held her wrist tightly, his voice heavy. "Bella, we haven't seen each other for several months. Don't you want to talk?"

Isabella, agitated, struggled to free herself. "Mr. Logue, please behave yourself," she said seriously.

Ivana, who had followed Jayden, witnessed the scene and stamped her foot, exclaiming, "Jayden…"

But Jayden's cold glance silenced her. The intense warning made her heart tremble; she dared not speak again. She knew his temper and feared the consequences of angering him. However, Ivana's eyes still widened with irritation at the sight of Jayden holding Isabella's hand. All this bitch does is seduce Jayden! she thought resentfully, cursing Isabella silently.

Jayden looked at Isabella again, speaking softly, "Bella, just a few minutes. I want to talk, nothing more." He waited quietly, appearing gentle, but his grip on her wrist remained firm.

Unable to break free, Isabella grew more irritated. "Mr. Logue, we've broken up," she said coldly. "Since you're with my sister, please don't cheat again."

Jayden's eyebrows furrowed slightly, displeasure rising. He didn't show anger, explaining softly, "Bella, Ivana and I are not what you think."

But we've slept together! Ivana thought, shocked. Why didn't he say we weren't in a relationship then? Rage flared in her eyes. It's all Isabella's fault! she thought, clenching her fists. Why is this bitch still attracting Jayden's attention?

George finally intervened. He shoved Jayden's hand away, saying coldly, "Why are you harassing a woman in public?"

Jayden stumbled back, glaring at George with an icy gaze. Before he could respond, George adjusted his sleeve indifferently. "What's to talk about? You didn't cheat? Or you want to get back together?"

Isabella's lips curled slightly. That's my buddy, she thought.

"This is between me and her, George. Out of respect for Bella, I won't do anything to you," Jayden said.

"Huh?" George scoffed. "Let's see what you can do. Do you think the world revolves around you?" George unleashed a tirade. If they weren't in public, he would have already tackled Jayden. He'd never met anyone so shameless.

Jayden couldn't remain calm. But as a celebrity, wearing sunglasses and a mask, his fury was hidden. Through gritted teeth, he growled, "George, this is your last warning. Stay out of my business with Bella!"

Chapter 18

George, instantly enraged, rolled up his sleeves, stepped in front of Isabella, and glared at Jayden, hands on his hips. "Oh yeah? I'm getting involved, so what?!" He challenged, "Come on, let's see what you'll do about it!"

A vein bulged on Jayden's forehead. Just as he was about to respond, Isabella stepped forward, cutting him off sharply, "Enough!"

She glared icily. "Jayden, if you don't want your reputation ruined, stop bothering me!"

"You…" Jayden's face turned livid. He hadn't expected her threat. He stared at her, a head shorter but radiating a frosty aura. He opened his mouth several times but couldn't speak.

He wasn't sure if she was bluffing. With the old Isabella, he wouldn't have believed her. But now, he wasn't so sure. He wondered if she truly no longer loved him. And if she exposed their secrets… Jayden's face darkened. A few people were already glancing their way. He hesitated to act rashly.

Isabella scoffed coldly and glanced at George. Jayden clenched his fists, watching them walk away.

Ivana's anger boiled over. She linked arms with Jayden, her tone filled with disappointment and disbelief. "Jayden, how could Isabella become like this? Is she… really my sister?"

Jayden remained silent, his eyes fixed on Isabella's retreating figure. Panic gripped Ivana. He clearly regretted his actions. After all her efforts, she couldn't let them rekindle their relationship.

Tears welled up. "Jayden, are you really leaving me?" she asked sadly.

Jayden didn't respond, his gaze locked ahead. The thought of Jayden possibly thinking of Isabella made her burn with jealousy.

"Jayden!" she called again.

This time, he finally looked away. As Ivana waited anxiously, his phone rang. Who is it, interrupting my plans? she thought, clenching her teeth.

Jayden ignored Ivana, answering the call. Seeing the number, he froze, unsure why this person was calling. He said grimly, "I'll be right there."
