Chapter 46

Before anyone could tease, Isabella said, "Truth." She didn't want to confess to any other guy.

Isabella's choice lit up everyone's eyes; their gazes shifted between her and Jayden.

Jill, squatting beside the drinks table, rested her chin on her hand and asked curiously, "So, Bella, don't you like our superstar actor, Jayden, anymore?" Jill found their interactions oddly strange.

Everyone looked at Isabella expectantly. Ivana's brows furrowed slightly, her charming eyes showing displeasure. Jill has a knack for bringing up the most awkward topics, she thought. But looking at Isabella, she clenched her fists. 'How will this bitch respond?' she thought. If Isabella dared say she liked Jayden, Ivana would teach her a lesson.

Jayden's fingers wrapped around his wine glass; a gentle smile glimmered in his eyes, now focused on Isabella. Everyone waited quietly.

Isabella tasted her wine and said calmly, "I don't like Jayden."

Those three words wiped the smile from Jayden's face; his grip on the glass tightened. He glared at her gloomily, then thought, Could this be Isabella playing hard to get? Tonight's party was organized by Luna; she specifically invited me to give Isabella an opportunity. Isabella has done this before.

No one expected such an open admission. The curiosity in Jill's eyes intensified. "Why?" she asked.

For years, many in their circle knew about Isabella's crush on Jayden. After so many years, her sudden disinterest was a mystery.

Isabella curled her lips, her eyes on Jill. "That's the second question," she laughed softly, remaining calm and composed, not even glancing at Jayden.

Luna looked at Isabella in shock. 'After this party, I have to ask her about it,' she thought. Ivana slightly unclenched her fists, thinking Isabella knew when to retreat.

Jill sensed Jayden's unhappiness. "Good for you, Isabella. Let's keep going," she laughed, gathering everyone's attention. If the questioning continued, the evening's good mood might disappear. Others quickly took the cue and began encouraging each other mischievously.

Soon, the bottle landed on Ivana. Excitement flashed in her eyes as she glanced at the bottle, then expectantly at Jayden. If I can use this to interact with Jayden and reveal our relationship, it would be perfect, she thought. But Jayden sat quietly, drinking, ignoring her. Ivana lowered her eyes in dissatisfaction, taking a deep breath to compose herself.

Jill raised an eyebrow, smiling. "Ivana, what's your choice!"

In a gentle voice, Ivana replied, "Truth."

Luna disliked Ivana, so she relaxed lazily on the couch, letting them do as they pleased. With impatience in her eyes, she leaned close to Isabella's ear and whispered, "Ivana…" She didn't finish, but Isabella sensed her annoyance. Isabella chuckled softly without replying.

The other girls quickly decided to send Jill as their representative. Jill smiled at Ivana. "So, which guy do you have a crush on?"

It wasn't particularly exciting, so the other men seemed uninterested, but they all smiled and watched Ivana. She gave a shy smile, her gaze landing on Jayden. That glance spoke volumes. Suddenly, those who were bored became interested. Everyone turned to look at Jayden, then at Isabella. Something bad must have happened between the three of them, someone thought.

Ivana blushed, lowering her head. "You guys are so naughty, asking me such things," she said playfully.

Ivana's sweet tone made Luna shiver. Leaning over, she whispered in Isabella's ear, "Ivana's so feigned. Such an angelic bitch. How do you put up with her? If I were you, I would have slapped her long ago."

Isabella smirked slightly, a flicker of sarcasm in her eyes. "Guys fall for that kind of act. What can I do?"

Jayden got involved with Ivana because of that act.

Luna sighed, nodding. "Yeah, men can be such jerks."

Jayden, standing nearby, overheard. His eyebrows knitted together; his expression towards Ivana turned displeased. It was inappropriate for her to behave like that. The others tried to hide their discomfort, laughing while teasing Ivana. "It's okay, we're all friends here."

A scheme flashed in Ivana's mind. Isabella just said she didn't like Jayden, so if I say I like him, it would be appropriate.

Isabella regained her composure and looked at Jayden, her eyes bashfully shy. "I like Jayden."

Everyone glanced at Isabella, noticing her calm face. Jill coughed lightly and changed the subject. "Liking the great movie star Jayden isn't strange. He's a heartthrob for many women."

However, Jayden showed no reaction, not even looking at her. All of Ivana's hopes crumbled. She bit her lip, filled with deep unwillingness, yet maintained a gentle smile.

Luna couldn't stand Ivana's undertones any longer. She stood and urged everyone to start the next round, effectively cutting off the conversation. "Alright, let's continue. Time to see who our next lucky one is."

The bottle spun and stopped in front of Isabella.

Before Luna could speak, Kevin stood up, slapping the table. "No way. I'm not going down alone. Bella, you have to choose 'dare.'"

Isabella paused, her hand gripping her glass, while everyone cheered enthusiastically, heating up the room. Everyone was eager to see a dare.

Isabella smiled, straightening up, her eyes playfully on Kevin. "Alright then, tell me what to do." Truth was boring, always revolving around questions about Isabella and Jayden, which she didn't want to answer.

Everyone thought something was going on between Isabella and Jayden, but Jayden never admitted it. It was like a secret affair. Looking back, Isabella wondered why she endured it all. Luna looked at Isabella with concern; she was usually so calm and composed. She worried Isabella might not be able to handle something extreme.

Before Kevin could speak, Mark stepped forward with a cheeky grin. "Isabella, you're straightforward. In that case, I will give you a challenge."
