Chapter 36
Inside the private room, the atmosphere was tense. Cameron lifted his foot, preparing to stomp on Caspian’s other hand.
“Kid, don’t you dare! Don’t you know who my boss is?” Caspian shouted, panicked.
“Who?” Cameron paused.
“It’s Timothy!” Caspian yelled.
The girls in the room trembled, fear evident in their eyes. Timothy was the chairman of the Black Dragon Group, controlling the underground forces of Riverdale province. He could shake the entire province with a single word. The small city of Yrando was insignificant to him. If this incident angered Timothy, the consequences would be catastrophic.
“Timothy?” Cameron raised an eyebrow.
“You mean Timothy?” he clarified, then mercilessly stomped on Caspian’s other hand.
“Ah!” Caspian howled in agony, his eyes bloodshot. The excruciating pain from his shattered bones overwhelmed him, before he could even react to Cameron's correction. The girls shivered in fear, realizing they were in grave danger.
Seeing Caspian's injury, Madison rushed to his side. “Lord Caspian, are you okay?”
“What do you think, you rotten bitch! You dared to conspire with these people to trick me!” Caspian raged. He felt betrayed by Madison and Archie, realizing that the stories about him being a pushover and Madison being a gift were lies.
“Lord Caspian, things aren’t as they seem. Please listen to my explanation…” Madison pleaded, her voice trembling.
“Explanation? What nonsense!” Caspian roared. “Do you think I’m a fool?!”
Cameron, observing their exchange, grew colder. He looked at Madison and said icily, “Are you behind this?”
Chapter 36 (continued)
“I…” Madison’s expression faltered. She was speechless.
Dakota also looked at Madison, her eyes trembling. “Maddy, was Lord Caspian telling the truth?”
Her plan exposed, Madison decided to confess. “What do you think? Do you expect me to be played like a fool? Compared to what you’ve done, I’ve only given you a taste of your own medicine!”
“What have we done to you?” Cameron frowned. “Didn’t Dakota explain everything?”
“Explain? Do you think I’d believe that?” Madison sneered.
“So, you orchestrated this to harass Dakota?” Cameron’s face hardened. “Have you forgotten how Dakota pleaded with Blackheart on your behalf at the wedding? Is this your repayment?”
“Pleaded on my behalf? That bitch was just feeling guilty!” Madison seethed, resentment evident.
Cameron’s eyes grew even colder. He had clearly overestimated Madison; she was utterly heartless.
As Madison confessed, Dakota’s face paled. A sharp pain pierced her heart, a betrayal far greater than she could have imagined. Madison's actions were purely for revenge. Dakota had always believed their bond unbreakable, only to discover its fragility. She regretted confiding in Cameron that night.
