Chapter 86
Twenty minutes later, a police car arrived at the police station, and Cameron was immediately taken to the interrogation room. His hands were handcuffed behind the chair.
Sergeant Tommy looked at Cameron with disdain. “Kid,” he said, “you can fight quite well. Did you have any training?”
“I had some basic training,” Cameron replied. “Officer, I assume you’ve finished your investigation. Can I be released?” He gestured at the handcuffs.
“You want to leave? What do you think this is, a revolving door?” Sergeant Tommy sneered.
Cameron frowned slightly. “Officer, what do you mean?”
“You’re suspected of initiating a fight and intentionally causing harm. You can expect to spend the next few months in detention,” Sergeant Tommy said coldly.
Cameron raised an eyebrow. “So, you’re framing me for a crime I didn’t commit?”
“Framing you? We caught you red-handed, kid. Watch your words, or I’ll add a charge of defaming a police officer!” Sergeant Tommy sneered.
“Aren’t you afraid I’ll sue you after I get out?” Cameron retorted.
“We’ll see,” Sergeant Tommy said, slamming a confession letter onto the table. “If you’re smart, you’ll sign this. It’ll spare you unnecessary suffering.”
Cameron looked at the letter impassively. “So, you want to force a confession?”
Sergeant Tommy chuckled. “You can interpret it that way. After all, you offended someone you shouldn’t have.”
“Did Archie send you here?” Cameron asked.
“Haha, no comment. Just sign the letter,” Sergeant Tommy sneered.
Cameron squinted. It seemed Archie was behind this. They’d framed him and now planned to “give him special treatment” in detention. What a cunning plan. Once he got out, he would make Archie pay.
Sergeant Tommy interrupted Cameron’s thoughts. “Kid, what are you thinking about?”
Cameron smirked. “I’m thinking about how to deal with you guys once I get out of here.”
Sergeant Tommy’s expression stiffened, then he smirked. “Kid, let me tell you, don’t even dream of getting out. I’ll give you thirty seconds, and if you don’t confess, don’t blame me for what happens next.”
“Haha, then don’t blame me for not warning you,” Cameron said calmly. “The consequences of touching me are not something you, or even the whole police station, can bear.”
Sergeant Tommy didn’t care. He clenched his fist and moved closer. “I’ve seen too many tough guys like you. They all begged for mercy in the end!”
“Is that so? Is that how you treat citizens? I think your career is about to end,” Cameron said, his gaze cold. They took taxpayers’ money and did nothing for the people. How many parasites like him were in the force?
Sergeant Tommy’s face twisted. “Kid, I don’t know if my career is ending, but yours certainly is.”
He clenched his fist and lunged toward Cameron. He wanted to teach this stubborn kid a lesson.
Bang!
At that moment, Captain Louis burst into the interrogation room, sweating profusely.
