Chapter 240

When Elliot, Macro, and Lorenzo arrived, they saw Stephanie sitting across from Sebastian like a child who had just been scolded. Her head was lowered, and she looked utterly pitiful.

Macro stepped forward. โ€œWhy are you lecturing her again? Sheโ€™s already grown up.โ€

Sebastian shot him a cold glance. Macro instantly shut up. This guy hated it when anyone tried to speak up for Stefi during his scoldings. Macro gave her a look that said, Youโ€™re on your own.

Seeing the newcomers, Stephanie lowered her head even more, too afraid to look up. Lorenzo gave her a tug. โ€œGo sit next to your brother.โ€

Stephanie didnโ€™t move. Earlier, she thought it was just her and Sebastian, so she sat across from him. Lorenzo, seeing her frozen in place, didnโ€™t dare sit beside her either. Anyone who tried to sit next to Stephanie always ended up facing Sebastianโ€™s terrifying expression. No thanks.

โ€œJust say a couple of words and be done with it. Sheโ€™s not a kid anymore,โ€ Lorenzo added, attempting to help her out. She looked so scared she didnโ€™t even dare move in her seat.

Sebastianโ€™s voice was low. โ€œCome here.โ€ Stephanie seemed submissive and silent. From that tone, he was definitely mad. Was it because she kissed him earlier? Had she crossed a line?

Feeling guilty and helpless, she hesitantly got up and moved to sit beside him. Dishes were served. Sebastian and Lorenzo started talking.

Lorenzo asked, โ€œWhat do you plan to do once you find Lancelot?โ€ Since Lancelot had dared to provoke the Lucano family, there was no way Sebastian would let this slide.

Sebastian narrowed his eyes slightly and placed a piece of cured meat into Stefiโ€™s small bowl. โ€œEat first.โ€ Lorenzo instinctively glanced at Stephanie.

Wow. So she really was being treated like a delicate little flower. Even discussing these matters in front of her was off-limits?

Lorenzo nodded and turned to the waiter. โ€œBring some wine.โ€ A meal wasnโ€™t complete without alcohol.

Stephanie tensed up the moment she heard Lorenzo order wine. She subconsciously glanced at Sebastian, whose brows held a faint chill. Was it because of the kiss? Or was it because Lancelot was mentioned?

She wasnโ€™t unfamiliar with Lancelotโ€”he had been causing quite a stir in Fiorenza these past few years, daring to steal business from anyone. But he had never clashed with Sebastian before. Why was it different this time?

The wine arrived. Lorenzo opened a bottle and handed it to Sebastian, then opened one for himself. When he offered bottles to Macro and Elliot, Elliot declinedโ€”he needed to stay sharp at all times.

Stephanie stiffened when she saw Sebastian about to drink. She reached out with her small fingers and gently tugged at the hem of his sweater.

Sebastian glanced at her. โ€œWhat?โ€

Stephanie hesitated. โ€œI donโ€™t feel well tonightโ€ฆI wonโ€™t be able to make you black coffee.โ€

Both Macro and Lorenzo stopped what they were doing and fell silent. The two men exchanged glances. Macro chuckled. โ€œYour brother needs you to make him black coffee? His alcohol tolerance isโ€”โ€

Before he could finish, he felt a sharp pain in his leg, making him abruptly shut up. Stephanie looked at him, confused. What just happened?

Macroโ€™s lips twitched as he turned to Sebastian, who shot him a cold stare. And what that meant? Again, what now? Since when could no one even talk in front of Stephanie?! What kind of logic was this? Whatโ€™s the logic?

โ€œI know you always get a fever after drinking, but youโ€”โ€ Before he could finish, another sharp pain shot through his leg. Oh, sweet. Heโ€™s going to break my leg.

Chapter 240

Stephanie, still clueless, looked between Macro and Sebastian. Sebastian sat with his arms crossed, watching Macro silently. Faced with that gaze, Macro immediately shut up.
