Chapter 319

He felt like there was nothing between them except blood. If Stephanie truly saw herself as part of the Hart family, she wouldn’t be so cruel to them. He thought, These are her own family, yet look how heartless she’s become. She’s burned all her bridges.

She doesn’t even consider the possibility that one day, she could end up like Olivia in the Lucano family. If that happens, the Hart family could still take her in and give her another chance. But she hasn’t thought about any of that.

His anger flared again. He remembered how he had begged Stephanie and humbled himself, but she still refused to budge. Does she think that she is some kind of treasure in the Lucano family? She doesn’t even share their blood. “I’m going to see how long they’ll keep treating her like she’s special,” he thought.

Catlin’s chest tightened, and she could barely breathe. “So what you’re saying is… she won’t help me?”

“Yeah,” Tyler answered, his voice firm.

Catlin’s eyes filled with tears instantly, and they kept streaming down her cheeks. Her voice trembled as she said, “She really doesn’t care at all?”

Tyler shook his head. “No, she doesn’t.”

Catlin’s heart ached. I’m her mother. I carried her and went through all the pain a mother goes through. How could she do this to me?

Tyler stayed silent, unable to respond. Carlin’s voice cracked as she repeated, “How could she do this to me? How could she? I’m her mother!”

The fact that Stephanie wouldn’t help her completely drove Catlin mad. She screamed in frustration, “I regret it. I really do! I was ready to stop favoring Olivia, and she still won’t help me?”

Tyler’s breath quickened as he listened. His hatred for Stephanie grew with each word.

Carlin’s voice became desperate. “What do I have to do for her to forgive me? Doesn’t she know the whole Hart family needs her right now? Why is she being so heartless?”

At that moment, Catlin was completely mad. Stephanie wouldn’t help her, which meant it was impossible for her to get out of this mess. She was completely shattered.

Tyler could only stay silent as he watched her break down. Then Catlin snapped, “What about your dad? What’s he doing now? He’s not going to ignore me just for that bitch, is he?”

Since Stephanie was out of the picture, Catlin now turned to Chad for help.

Thinking about Chad made Tyler’s breathing quicken. He had thought about going to his father, but his father wouldn’t even see him. For the past few days, Tyler had felt like his father had abandoned him, focusing all his attention on that other family.

“I’m sorry,” Tyler said quietly. He felt completely powerless in the face of Catlin’s breakdown. As her son, it hit him deeply.

Whether they wanted to admit it or not, the whole Hart family was falling apart. Because of Olivia… and because of Stephanie.

Chapter 319

After flying all night, Sebastian’s private jet finally touched down at an international airport in Florenza around 10 AM the next morning. Stephanie knew they were heading back to Fiorenza, so she woke up early.

Sebastian got her to eat some cereal, but since her stomach was upset, she ended up throwing it all up. She hadn’t eaten properly in the last few days, so by the time they landed, she felt completely drained and weak.

Sebastian carried her the whole way, and, for once, Stephanie didn’t try to walk on her own. She just didn’t have the energy.

“When we get home, I’ll have the medical team do a full check-up on you,” Sebastian said softly, his eyes full of care.

Stephanie just nodded weakly, too tired to say much. She was worried she might be pregnant, so she had barely taken any of the meds Macro had gotten her on the plane.

Macro, who was walking behind them, was still grumbling about the trip to Moalee Desert. Hearing Sebastian talk about getting the medical team to check on Stephanie, he couldn’t resist a sarcastic comment. “Your medical team’s finally getting some use, huh?”

Speaking of the medical team, it all started when Stephanie was a kid and got sick. She went to the hospital for an IV, but the smell of the disinfectant made her throw up. After that, Sebastian made their home’s medical room bigger. They bought hospital-grade equipment and even turned an entire villa into a medical space. They also hired a pediatric team.

As Stephanie grew up, the medical team adjusted to her changing needs, and even though she hadn’t been in Fiorenza for a while, the team still stayed.

Hearing the bitterness in Macro’s voice, Stephanie peeked out from Sebastian’s arms and said, “You better quit talking. Keep it up, and you’ll end up stuck in Moalee Desert even longer.”

When Macro heard the word “longer,” he immediately quieted down.
