Chapter 520

Outside the airport, Henry, the Lucano family’s butler, was there in person. Along with him was Sofia. As soon as Stephanie saw her, she struggled to get out of Schoutedarro. Sofia shot her a glare that could almost burn a hole through her. Stephanie met her intense stare, pouted, and clung more tightly to Sebastian’s arm. Stephanie was small, and seeing her from a distance made Sofia feel like she was back in her childhood. In Sofia’s memory, Stephanie had always been so tiny in front of Sebastian.

As Stephanie walked up to Sofia, Sofia scoffed, “When you were under my brother’s thumb, he wouldn’t let you eat the things you want. It made sense why you were small back then, but…”

“These past two years, you’ve been on your own. Didn’t you go wild eating all the stuff he told you not to? And you haven’t grown up?” she asked.

“Have I not grown up?” Stephanie thought. “I’ve grown taller,” Stephanie instinctively replied.

Sofia raised an eyebrow, asking, “Oh, really? Then why are you still only up to my brother’s chest?”

Stephanie didn’t know how to answer. At that, she glanced up at Sebastian beside her. “Yeah, I’ve grown taller, but why am I still at his chest level?” she thought.

Sofia reached out to grab Stephanie. “Come here. You still have a lot to explain. Don’t try to avoid me.”

“Now that you’re back in Fiorenza, you think you can run away again?” she asked. “I couldn’t really do much to her elsewhere, but now that she’s back in Fiorenza, she can’t hide from me anymore,” Sofia thought.

Sofia had been seriously angry about Stephanie leaving Fiorenza. And that anger had been building up for two whole years. Now that Stephanie was finally back, Sofia was going to corner her and give her a piece of her mind. Stephanie instinctively tried to hide behind Sebastian, but Sofia had already grabbed her.

“What were you thinking? Richard told you to leave, and you just walked away? Why did you listen to him? Do you think the Giovanni family is weak? You could’ve gone to Grandpa for protection,” Sofia said.

The thought of how Richard had scared Stephanie off with just a few words made Sofia even angrier. When Michael and Beth found out, they were also furious back then.

Stephanie blinked up at Sofia. “Sorry, I know I was wrong.”

“Knowing you were wrong doesn’t cut it. Tell me. What exactly did Richard say to you? I’m going to deal with that bastard,” Sofia said.

“How dare he chase Stefi away?” she thought furiously. When she heard that Richard had returned to Fiorenza, she rushed back immediately from Sandara.

For the past few days, she had been confronting Richard. She even went to pick a fight with him first thing in the morning before coming to pick up Stephanie.

Stephanie tugged at Sofia’s hand. “L-Let go of me, and I’ll tell you.”

“Don’t you dare…” Sofia started to say.

“Enough,” Sebastian cut in, his voice calm but firm as he grabbed Sofia’s wrist. He gently scolded, “Let Stephanie go.”

Sofia said, “Sebastian, you’re still speaking up for this kid? She leaves without a word for three years, and you’re not going to let me scold her? That’s not right.” “If I don’t show her how to handle this, someone may scare her off next time,” she thought.

Hearing “this kid,” Stephanie twisted her little hand, trying to pull away. “I’m not a kid anymore.”

“What do you mean you’re not a kid? Shut up!” Sofia snapped. Then, she turned to Sebastian. “This time, I’m taking care of her. I’m going to make sure she gets it after the scolding.”

The more Sofia thought about how scared Stephanie was, the angrier she got. Hearing the word “scolding,” she shuddered in fear. “No, I don’t need a scolding.”

Sofia’s scolding wasn’t something to take lightly. It could be downright terrifying. Seeing Stephanie struggle, Sofia raised an eyebrow, asking, “Why is that?”

With that look, Stephanie knew Sofia already had something wicked planned. ‘Yeah, whenever Sofia looks at me like that, I know she’s got some evil idea in her head. I can’t let her scold me, or I’ll be in serious trouble,’ Stephanie thought.

Stephanie swallowed nervously. “I’m your sister-in-law now.”

All eyes, including those of Sofia, Sebastian, and everyone else around, turned toward her. Macro smirked and then laughed out loud. “Sofia, Stefi’s your sister-in-law now. You gotta show her some respect, alright?”
