Chapter 202: Ellis Dumped Him
She paused deliberately, altering her tone. โWhat are you so triumphant about? Trying to show off how much Easton spent on you, how nicely he treats you, and how much you two love each other? Is this to prove your importance to him?โ
โIf Iโm not important, then are you? You should be happy thโโ
โThat only you would treat that trash like treasure,โ Ellis cut Victoria off. She continued, her tone suggesting she spoke for Victoriaโs own good, โSo happy for getting the trash someone despises?โ
โSpeaking of, heโs the trash you abandoned, and the treasure I love.โ
โIf he loves you so much, why did he marry me? When you came back, why didnโt he immediately ask me for a divorce? Look at you, youโre not even Mrs. Hudson yet.โ
Ellisโs question rendered Victoria speechless. She could only glare daggers at Ellis.
โYou were just bragging about how Easton spent a billion to save you when we were kidnapped. If I had died, Easton wouldnโt have cared. But have you ever considered something? I was with him for five yearsโIโm still a human life. If he could be that heartless toward me, arenโt you afraid heโll treat you the same way someday?โ
Not even talking about feelings, just the basic respect for life and human decency, as well as Eastonโs complete disregard for her safety and indifference to whether she lived or died, only proved his cold-blooded nature.
And if he was that heartless, what did it matter if Victoria was his first love? Ellis couldnโt see any sign that Easton was incapable of living without her. If he had truly loved Victoria, he would have kicked Ellis out of the role of Mrs. Hudson long ago. The divorce shouldnโt have been initiated by her, and he certainly wouldnโt have kept any contact with his ex-wife.
Ellis crossed her arms, leisurely watching Victoria with a hint of mockery in her voice. โOh, and just so you know, I was the one who asked for the divorce. He never brought it up.โ
Jess, who had been observing from the sidelines, widened her eyes in disbelief.
It turned out that the rumor of Ellis dumping Easton was true; it wasnโt the other way around.
Shock transformed Jess from a mediator into a full-blown spectator, her gaze darting between Ellis and Victoria, eagerly trying to catch more juicy drama. Victoria, who had been certain of her victory moments ago, suddenly found herself at a disadvantage. Though she forced a laugh to mask her frustration, her composure was slipping. โYouโre not Eastonโs wife anymore. Stop trying to drive a wedge between us.โ
โWhether I am or not, you know the truth,โ Ellis said with a sneer. โAnd spare me the whole โdeeply in loveโ act. If you two were really that in love, why didnโt you even hesitate before breaking off the engagement and heading overseas?โ
Ellis had never been interested in commenting on Easton and Victoriaโs relationship. But Victoriaโs smugness and constant need to flaunt it were so ridiculous that Ellis couldnโt resist putting her in her place.
โIf he truly meant that much to you, you wouldโve stayed by his side when he needed you most instead of leaving,โ Ellis continued, her sharp eyes narrowing as she looked down at Victoria. โBut since you want to claim that trash so badly, be my guest. Just keep him on a tight leash and stop acting like Iโd ever want to fight you for garbage.โ
Trash belonged in the trash can. Since Victoria was willing to take in a trashy man, it was practically a noble act worthy of praise. Let the scumbag and the homewrecker be each otherโs perfect match. They had no reason to flaunt their so-called superiority in front of her.
Instead of humiliating Ellis, Victoria was humiliated. She stomped her feet in anger and scolded, โYouโโ
To avoid being beaten by Victoria again, Ellis didnโt bother to reply. She turned around quickly and went into her residential area.
In a high-end residential complex with steep property fees, top-tier security measures were naturally in place. Since Victoria wasnโt an owner or tenant, she couldnโt just walk in as she pleased. So when she tried to pull the same stunt again, the securityโฆ

โJess, tell them to let me in!โ Victoria demanded arrogantly.
Jess rolled her eyes in exasperation. Friendship was supposed to be between equals; why was Victoria taking out her anger on her?
โVictoria, if you hit Ellis and she actually reports it to the police, the one whoโll end up embarrassed is you.โ Jess glanced at the surrounding security cameras with concern. โShould we find someone to delete the footage from earlier?โ
โDid you not hear me? She hit me first!โ Victoria fumed, frustrated that her friend wasnโt helping her deal with Ellis. โTraitor! Youโre taking her side!โ
โGetting into a catfight like some street thug? Thatโs beneath me.โ Raised with proper manners, Jess wasnโt about to stoop to such behavior. โIf my parents found out, theyโd beat me.โ
Youโ Victoria wanted to curse Jess out but managed to hold back.
There would be plenty of opportunities to deal with Ellis in the future. There was no need to rush. Right now, her biggest concern was Ellis getting hold of the surveillance footage and sending it to Easton. If that happened, all the effort sheโd put into crafting a perfect image in front of him would be utterly destroyed.
