Chapter 119: Everything Is Arranged

The top comment among netizens was: "Alana must design live on the broadcast to prove her abilities. Only then will everyone be convinced. Otherwise, she doesn't deserve the prize!"

Seeing the continuing online commotion, the director turned to Kevin for advice. Kevin, measuring a pair of women's shoes, replied indifferently, "Let them be. The 2:00 PM runway show will continue. Now, go to lunch and get the models started on makeup."

The director checked the time—almost 1:00 PM. Wiping his brow, he said, "Mr. Stewart, we'll be trending for the wrong reasons if this continues."

"Do as I say," Kevin said, putting down his ruler and wiping his hands. "And tell Nina not to prepare anymore."

The weary director left Kevin's room.

After Abigail and Luna finished lunch, Kevin brought Nina to their room. He knocked, and Abigail opened the door. Smiling, he said, "Miss Quinn, I've brought someone to make amends."

Nina, pale and slumped, entered. Gone was her morning arrogance. A camera followed them inside.

With a defeated look, Nina gazed at Luna and stammered, "Al… Alana, I didn't mean to. I was misled when I bought the camera, put it in my door's peephole, and recorded you. I edited the video to frame you." Her words seemed rehearsed.

At Abigail's signal, Luna said, "I saw you were about to sell the latest Mila bag on your secondhand trading account. That bag is exclusive; you can't buy it with just money—you need connections, right?"

Kevin's smile faltered; he didn't understand why Luna brought this up.

Nina's face paled further. "You invaded my privacy?!" she exclaimed.

"It seems true," Luna replied. "I inquired about the latest Mila bag and the person who got it first. I know a Mr. Graham. Do you know him?"

Kevin texted Sean. He'd planned to edit the camera footage when Luna's words made him notice a live-streaming mobile phone in the room.

Abigail, seeing his reaction, calmly asked, "Informing Mr. Graham? Who did he buy the bag for?"

Nina, white-faced and near tears, looked at Kevin. "Mr. Stewart—"

Luna's gaze turned cold. "Are you taking the fall? You don't have to say it. I already know. If you don't want your design career ruined, tell the truth!"

This plan originated that morning, when they discovered something amiss. They investigated Joan and Nina's private information. Abigail never believed Nina would willingly risk so much for Joan. Joan must have offered substantial rewards, leveraging her relationship with Sean.

Without further investigation, Abigail wouldn't have realized Nina, with an annual income of just over $15,000, could afford the latest limited-edition Mila bag. She immediately suspected Sean bought it for Joan.

Joan had provided Nina with surveillance cameras and recording devices, encouraging her to falsely accuse Luna and Alana.

Seeing the live broadcast, Kevin put down his phone. "Miss Smith, why are you doing this?"

A staff member tried to disconnect the stream. Abigail pushed him away. "What are you doing? Afraid the program's dirty dealings will be exposed?"

Luna looked at Kevin sarcastically. "Mr. Stewart, remember what you said when you signed with East Joy Talent? You said this program wouldn't disappoint me, but…"

He forced a smile. "I'm investigating, and the program team is supporting you."

"I want to know if Nina was involved with our models, especially Joan," Abigail interjected. She'd decided Joan wouldn't wear her designs. If Sean protected Joan, she would take drastic measures.

Nina remained silent. Luna crossed her legs on a nearby couch. "Miss Lowery," she said with a sly smile, "no one can help you today. Speak up, and L.Moon might overlook past grievances and offer you a chance. If not… who knows what the future holds?"

With Sean involved, a proper discussion was impossible. Luna and Abigail had already planned their exit strategy using him.

Nina had thought she held the winning hand, but she hadn't anticipated this outcome.

The door opened. Sean and Joan entered, Joan hiding behind him, her eyes still red.
