Chapter 62: Two-Faced Bitch
Abigail fetched a bottle of soda for Sean, uncapped it, and placed it beside her own drink. Luna, sitting beside her, gently tickled her hand. Abigail didn't look at her but opened her palm, allowing Luna to write on it.
Luna wrote: "Don't just give him soda when so many other drinks are available! This brand is the cheapest on the show; it's just filler."
Only then did Abigail realize the products on the livestream were subtly placed for advertising. The rumors surrounding Sean and Joan were already generating significant attention, so the production team would naturally give them more screen time to create more buzz. Therefore, her offering a cheap soda was a wasted advertising opportunity.
However, she remembered Sean's preferences: he only liked soda water. After a moment's thought, she moved her own partially-drunk bottle of mineral water further away. Then, she grabbed an energy drink, took a sip, and placed it next to the soda.
Sean tapped his fingers on the table. The lazy Susan slowly rotated. Seeing the cheese-stuffed biscuits (which Sean disliked) approach him, Abigail quickly moved them away. She didn't know why he disliked them; even the smell made him frown, though he liked cheese itself.
Sean looked at her. He thought, She remembers all my preferences. Casually, he picked up the energy drink and took a few sips. Many viewers gasped. He was drinking from the same bottle Abigail had just sipped from!
Joan glared at Abigail, already hostile because Abigail knew Sean's preferences. Seeing him drink from the same bottle nearly caused Joan to explode. Abigail, too, was surprised. She watched his Adam's apple bob, reminding her of their lips having touched the bottle. Her heart fluttered with unease. How dare he do this on camera! It looks like an indirect kiss!
The livestream chat erupted.
One viewer commented: "See? I said Sean Graham was showing romantic interest! Now he's drinking from her bottle! If that's not a kiss, what is it?! I ship them!"
Another retorted: "Stop with the crazy theories! The assistant is clearly clueless. That energy drink is product placement. Who does she think she is, advertising to an investor? Sean had no choice but to drink it for the show. This assistant is disgusting!"
A viewer replied: "Disgusting? Do you know Sean Graham? Is an investor worth sacrificing himself for a small investment? Joan Palmer is staging everything. Has Sean ever responded to the rumors?"
Another viewer wrote: "I researched Sean Graham. He's only ever been shown drinking soda. His profile says he hates cheese-stuffed biscuits. Clearly, the assistant knows his preferences. They're in love!"
Another chimed in: "His eyes being glued to the assistant is one thing, but now this? It's obvious! The assistant is simply dressed but far more graceful than Joan Palmer. She's perfect for Sean."
A heated debate ensued.
Sean put down the drink and casually asked Abigail, "What are you looking at?"
Abigail averted her gaze. "Nothing." She wondered if he'd noticed her sip. His actions were so natural.
Watching them, Joan simmered with anger. With a sweet smile, she said to those around her, "Let's play a game! Designers and models are mysterious professions. Let's let the audience get to know us!"
The livestream chat exploded with comments. Kevin, wearing a Bluetooth earpiece, received updates from the control room. He stood and agreed, "Good idea! The production team has prepared Truth or Dare. Let's start!"
The production team brought out the game's props: a booklet and a large wheel.
Joan eagerly raised her hand. "I'll go first! I'll go first!"
The atmosphere brightened. Truth or Dare was a great way to pass the time. The game began with Joan, but Abigail’s turn came several times. Faced with difficult questions, she drank red wine, eventually feeling dizzy after nearly finishing a glass.
Joan spun the wheel again. The pointer spun rapidly, finally landing on Abigail.
Luna looked at Joan.
"Truth or dare?" Joan's face glowed with delight, her colored contact lenses sparkling.
After a moment, Abigail answered, "Truth."
Joan blushed, biting her lip. After a thoughtful pause, she loudly asked, "Are you still a virgin? How many boyfriends have you had?"
