Chapter 63: Staying Together in the Same Room
Kevin chuckled. "You certainly know how to ask questions." He glanced at Sean with amusement.
Sean leaned back, turning slightly to fix his gaze on Abigail. His expression was casual, but his jaw was tense, making his feelings unclear.
Abigail's ears and neck flushed; she hadn't expected Joan to ask such a question on live stream. Hesitating, she whispered, "Can you ask a different question?"
Everyone had been watching her nervously. Relieved by her request, they exchanged glances, subtly conveying a different message to the camera.
Joan's look was meaningful, but her tone was affectionate. "If you don't want to answer, you can drink instead. It's not mandatory."
A male designer, considering himself suave and handsome, quipped, "This is just an appetizer for Truth or Dare. In this day and age, a girl's virginity isn't a big deal, is it? Who hasn't dated several people?"
Luna gently placed a walnut on the table and smiled pointedly. "We're not playing Truth or Dare with close friends. Shouldn't the questions show decorum, especially with tens of thousands of viewers? What's the point of asking about virginity?"
"Come on, it's just a game," Joan protested, feigning innocence and hurt.
Seeing Joan's attempt to incite her fans against Luna, Abigail stepped forward. "It's just a game. I'll answer. I've only had one boyfriend. He's gorgeous, so I never let him go."
Kevin's eyes widened with feigned curiosity. "What level of handsomeness are we talking about?"
Abigail smiled. "Among the men present, one is quite close to that standard."
Kevin laughed uncontrollably. "Then you must mean Mr. Graham. He's the only one here who fits the bill."
Sean wrapped his arms around his chest, his grip tightening.
"Alright, let's start the second round. Miss Quinn, it's your turn," Joan immediately said, cutting Abigail off. Abigail's reply had angered her.
Abigail spun the wheel. The pointer landed on Sean.
The viewers erupted in laughter. Comments included: "What kind of attraction is this! Magnetic! Their chemistry is amazing! I declare them a match made in heaven!" Another: "I took a screenshot! Sean was so nervous he pinched his arms! He'll see bruises later!" And another: "I'll protest if they don't get married!"
Abigail looked at Sean and asked deliberately, "Truth or dare?"
Sean stared deeply at her. "Dare."
Kevin eagerly stood up. "Give me the Dare booklet."
The booklet was thick, filled with dares. This was the first time someone had chosen dare.
Joan protested, but eventually handed it to Kevin, the head of production.
Kevin flipped through it. He urged Abigail, "Let him continue. It has 1,000 pages, 50 dares per page."
Abigail felt helpless. She hadn't expected Sean to be chosen. Perhaps Luna was right—she was unlucky around him. "Make your choice," she told Sean.
Calmly, Sean replied, "I'll choose the 32nd challenge on Page 590."
Kevin flipped through the pages with a rustle. "It's most appropriate for me to handle this." His smile froze as he read the dare. Nervously, he announced, "Stay alone with a person of the opposite gender for five minutes. If the person next to you isn't of the opposite gender, move to the next person."
Sean's gaze fell on Abigail, whose cheeks were scarlet. She had been drinking, and appeared lovelier than usual.
Joan's face changed, then a smile appeared. Speaking as Sean's girlfriend, she protested, "This isn't suitable for Mr. Graham. Give him more chances. He's no ordinary person."
Luna turned the walnut, smiling diplomatically. "Since he's playing, he follows the rules. Giving him privileges is bad. We have many viewers, and it's only five minutes. Five minutes isn't long."
Joan looked at Sean, anticipating his refusal.
He stood up and said to Abigail, "Let's go."
