I Want a Divorce

Listen to this chapter:

Abigail's eyebrows twitched at Sean's slightly insulting remark. He was free to attend the meeting with Joan and accompany her to try on a wedding dress, but when it came to finalizing their divorce settlement, he was annoyed by a twenty-minute wait. "Damn!" he'd exclaimed. "I need to get things straight!" It was she who had chosen to end their marriage, not him. This thought calmed her slightly, as she took a deep breath. Then, a knock came through the phone. "Sean, you didn't go to City Hall, did you?" Abigail changed the subject abruptly.

"Do you honestly think everyone breaks their word like you?" Sean scoffed coldly.

Abigail was certain he wasn't at City Hall. "Okay then. Take a picture of the City Hall entrance and send it to me—"

Sean hung up before she finished. She tossed her phone aside, muttering, "Ugh! Scumbag!"

Luna, tidying her clothes, chimed in, "What undignified thing did he do this time?"

Abigail, still fuming, replied waspishly, "God knows! I admit I'm late, so I patiently asked him to wait. He didn't even go to City Hall, yet he loses his temper! He thinks he can do whatever he wants, while I can't, huh?!"

Luna then received a message and, after reading it, showed it to Abigail. "Sean's paying a lot of money to book an appointment with you the day after tomorrow."

Chapter 7: Busy With Widowhood

To be precise, Sean wanted to meet Alana. For someone who couldn't wait twenty minutes for her, this bastard certainly has plenty of time for Alana.

Abigail nearly crushed her phone. Her gaze turned cold. "I'm busy with widowhood!" she said. Her only thought was divorce. She needed to finalize it immediately.

Luna retrieved her phone, quoted Abigail's statement, and replied to her assistant. Then, she analyzed the situation. "Sean probably wants you to make a dress for Joan. East Joy Talent is holding a fashion gala next month, and I heard she's on the list. Considering how private it is, he probably spent a fortune to get her in."

Abigail felt numb. She merely twitched her lips in disdain. Of course, he'd spend heavily—not only getting Joan in, but also securing a dress designed by Alana.

Seeing Abigail's lack of reaction, Luna slammed her hand on the table. "Are you serious?! You're letting his mistress bully you?!"

Abigail remained expressionless. "If you have a plan to bankrupt Sean, I'm in. It takes two to tango. Joan wouldn't interfere if Sean hadn't cheated. Ultimately, he was disloyal. And why should I stoop to arguing with a mistress who doesn't even know me?"

Seeing Luna's persistence, Abigail changed the subject. "Didn't you mention an important client?"

Luna replied, "Oh, East Joy Talent. The boss is in Pendorf today and wants to meet you. But I haven't said yes yet."

East Joy Talent—a major entertainment agency representing many A-list actresses. Their constant attendance at fashion events and parties meant their demand for dress rentals was extremely high. Abigail's studio's reputation would skyrocket with their cooperation. "What are we waiting for? Only an idiot would miss this! Let's go!"

Luna, noticing Abigail's slim waist, had an idea.

At 2:00 PM, Abigail and Luna arrived at East Joy Talent's building. As Luna was parking, a blue supercar drifted into the space she'd targeted. Luna panicked, accelerating, and the two cars collided with a loud bang.
