Listen to this chapter:

"How much does this car cost?" Luna stared at the supercar, caught under the rear of her Volkswagen, through the rearview mirror. She asked wryly, "Are both our net worths enough to cover the damages?"

Abigail blinked and teased, "It wasn't on purpose? I thought you hit the car because you were mad at the driver for stealing your parking space."

"I panicked, but I certainly wasn't a fool!" Luna's face twisted in pain at the thought of the compensation.

Abigail leaned over, put the gearbox in park, pulled the handbrake, and opened the car door. "I'll check it out."

The supercar's owner emerged simultaneously. He was a handsome man, six foot two, wearing oversized black sunglasses that covered half his face, revealing only his attractive nose and full lips. Seeing Abigail exit the Volkswagen, he paused mid-chew, smiling. "Miss Slim Waist, have we met? You look awfully familiar."

Abigail thought he looked familiar, too. Approaching him, she realized he was Kevin Stewart, Sean's best friend. She'd met him once, two years ago, while giving a drunk Sean a ride home.

Abigail's eyes flickered between the damaged supercar and Kevin's face. She smiled tentatively. "Kevin?"

Surprised, he pushed up his sunglasses, squinting his eyes. "Miss Slim Waist, have we met?"

"I'm Abigail Quinn."

Kevin paused, then recognized her. He straightened. "Abigail"

She didn't mention her single status, instead gesturing to the car. "About your car"

Kevin clapped his hands. "My fault! I was rushing to a meeting and raced for a space. It's nothing serious. I'll claim it on insurance."

She smiled. "Sure. You can claim the repairs from Sean."

He waved it off. "No, I can't do that! It's no big deal. You're good to go!"

Abigail left. Back in the Volkswagen, she stared at a cold-sweat-drenched, dumbfounded Luna. "What are you doing? Drive! Drive to the opposite mall's parking lot."

"Oh, okay." Luna, having overheard everything, was startled. "Aren't you afraid he'll tell Sean?"

"I'll deal with that when it happens. Right now, we need to be safe this afternoon," Abigail said indifferently. "Three hours negotiating would cost us more than the damages, and lose us a business deal. Besides, Kevin's close to Sean. He won't fuss over a small amount of money."

After a pause, Abigail warned, "You're Alana; I'm your assistant at East Joy Talent."

Luna was bewildered. "Why? Giving me credit for your achievements?"

Abigail glared. "Are you an idiot? What if his meeting was at East Joy Talent? What if he finds out I'm Alana? What if he tells Sean? I just announced my husband's death. Sean will kill me if he knows I'm Alana!"

Luna fell silent.

They parked across from the building, then waited. At 3:00 PM, feeling safe, they went to East Joy Talent.

The receptionist looked at them twice upon hearing they were from L.Moon Studio. "Are you Ms. Alana?" she asked softly.

Fearing discovery, Luna wore sunglasses and whispered, "Yes. This is my assistant."

The receptionist, with unabashed adoration, led them to the elevator. "Our president has been waiting for you!"
