Chapter 194: Fated
Upon hearing this, Nathael looked up at Leo, who remained oblivious, still looking at Maggie, his childhood friend.
"There are three rounds," Leo explained. "The first is grouped songs; the second is random songs; and the third, you can choose your own song or create one." He nodded. "Sounds easy."
Kevin smiled from the front. "It's not challenging for Maggie, as she practices a lot. The first two rounds might be easy, but the third requires serious preparation. Talented people are everywhere."
"You're right, Mr. Dunphy," Nathael agreed.
"Do you mind telling me about your work, Mr. Harris?" Kevin asked Nathael, mindful not to neglect him.
Nathael paused. "I'm involved in various industries."
Kevin was taken aback. He sensed Nathael's exceptional background, but this was a surprise.
Seeing Kevin's puzzled expression, Nathael explained, "My family is involved in real estate, fashion, food and beverage, entertainment, and technology. Thanks to their support, I'm now in charge."
Kevin murmured, "Yeah, you're one of the Harrises." The message was clear. He finally understood Nathael's statement.
Kevin felt conflicted. He worried about Maggie. He'd heard about Nathael's reputation and tacticsโsly, ruthless, and deceptively friendly. Seeing him in person only amplified his concern.
"Relax, Mr. Dunphy," Nathael said. "Whether or not I'm a Harris, Maggie is irreplaceable."
Nathael's words prompted Kevin to scrutinize him again. In the end, Kevin could only nod. "Yeah, you guys must be fated."
Once inside the house, Leo went to the kitchen to cook. Maggie joined him when she saw Nathael and Kevin talking.

Kevin usually prepared simple meals, but they felt indebted and often took the initiative to cook. Over time, they developed a kitchen chemistry.
"The Camerons are in a mess," Leo said, chopping vegetables. "Luster Corporation's stock is plummeting, and there's no sign of recovery. Lucas is monitoring them, but hasn't infiltrated the Cameron Group yet. We need the right opportunityโone Ronald can't refuse."
"They're going to refocus on construction and real estate," Leo continued.
Maggie pondered. "Of course. Construction is their backbone; they won't give it up easily. But they're going down."
"Once Luster Corporation shuts down, their financial chain will break. They might even sell their current residence," Leo said, placing vegetables on a plate.
Maggie, washing vegetables, was stunned. "The villa?"
Maggie's mind raced. She hadn't expected their residence to be at risk, but was glad at the thought of the family's eviction. They couldn't make an open move, but she couldn't wait to see them move to a smaller home.
"Their honor depends on that villa," Maggie added. "If they auction it off, they'll be ridiculed."
"Yes," Leo replied. "I've calculated their finances and sellable properties. They'll definitely sell a lot of real estate. The villa, with its location and size, will fetch a good price."
While they chatted, Nathael looked toward the kitchen and told Kevin, "I'll help."
Kevin was surprised. "Do you know how to cook?"
"A little."
Kevin smiled. "Maggie's lucky. She's not picky, but if she dislikes something, she won't eat it."
"Please tell me her favorite dishes," Nathael said, "I'll make them for her."
Kevin chuckled. "That's kind, but it's better to ask her directly."
Chapter 194: Fated (Continued)
When Nathael entered the kitchen, Leo and Maggie were still discussing the Camerons.
"I'd either kick them out and make them squeeze into a rundown rental, where they'd argue daily," Maggie said, "or I'll buy the house and 'kindly' rent it to them. Then, when things go sour, I can just kick them out!" She was thrilled, though it was just a fantasy. The Camerons still had resources, and Leo pointed out they might sell the villa as a strategic move, not necessarily out of desperation. Besides, she couldn't afford the villa.
"What are you guys talking about?" Nathael asked, rolling up his sleeves.
"Fantasizing about screwing the Camerons," Maggie admitted honestly.
Leo glanced at Nathael. Maggie clearly trusted him.
"You haven't seen Mr. Dunphy in a while. Go keep him company. I'll help Mr. Harris," Nathael said, taking over Maggie's task.
Maggie wanted to help, but three people in the kitchen were unnecessary. She watched for a while. "Maggie, help me with the apron," Leo suddenly said.
