Chapter 100
Jada said, "It was all Severin's fault. Yesterday, his Chevy was stopped by security, blocking our passage. I argued with him, but he was arrogant, and we had a heated exchange."
She couldn't tell the whole truth, so she embellished. "Last night, Severin brought his family to our restaurant. Remembering the earlier incident, we decided to teach him a lesson by having Patrick tease his wife. We didn't expect such a violent reaction! Worse, our hired thugs were no match for him!"
"Severin? That cruel man! I'll cripple him to avenge my son!" Cecil gritted his teeth, furious. "He's staying in one of the villas here!" Jada added.
"Victor, that son-of-a-bitch lives here! Help us get revenge! Send someone to… to severely injure him and his wife. I want them to suffer!" Prunella Pearce, Patrick's mother, seethed, her eyes blazing.
Victor said, "We can't be impulsive, Prunella. His presence in this villa area suggests more than we know." He turned to Jada. "What do you know about this Severin? I don't recall anyone by that name living here."
"Mister Henry gave him the villa," Jada replied.
"Henry?!"
Victor, Prunella, and the others gasped. The Longhorns were a family they couldn't afford to offend.
Cecil's face fell. "What's this about the Longhorns? If Severin has powerful connections, revenge might be impossible."
Prunella's tears welled. "Why would Henry give Severin a villa? If he's related to the Longhorns, revenge is a pipe dream."
Jada said, "I was curious too, but I investigated. Severin is a doctor; he cured Mister Henry and received the villa as payment."
Victor smiled coldly. "A doctor, lucky enough to cure Mister Henry! Since the debt is settled, I can act against Severin's family. I doubt the Longhorns would intervene for a doctor they no longer owe."
Prunella's eyes lit up. "I'm glad you think so, Victor. I want Severin dead, and his family to suffer!"
