Chapter 54
The head of security turned to Easton and said, "Management has already contacted the Longhorns, and we've confirmed Mr. Severin was given the villa."
"Given?" Easton unconsciously stepped back, doubting his own perception. Henry giving Severin such a valuable property was unbelievable.
"That that can't be! This expensive villa was given away?" Lucy's mouth gaped open; she couldn't believe what she heard. The villa was worth over ten million, a significant status symbol.
One of the three security guards, terrified, hurried forward to apologize. "Mr. Severin, please forgive us for not realizing you were keeping a low profile. We also didn't know the villa was assigned to you."
Severin chuckled. "Hehehe, it's no big deal. You can't know everything, right? Remember to enter my license plate number into your system. Hopefully, you'll learn not to judge Chevy drivers next time!"
The fattest guard, relieved by Severin's lack of anger, wiped sweat from his brow. The homeowners were not people they could afford to offend. Besides, if Henry could gift him an eleven-million-dollar villa, Severin clearly had more influence than he appeared.
Judith and Maurice were also stunned. "It was given to him?!" They couldn't believe someone would give their son such an expensive villa.
Severin looked at Easton and the others. "Hmph! You're right. We have scores to settle, but I'll let you go for now; it's late."
He entered his car. The security guards immediately let him pass, saluting respectfully.
Jada, who had been smug earlier, was confused. "What's with Henry and Severin? I thought you said Severin just got out of prison?" She felt foolish.
Easton was even more upset. "Yeah, but why would Mr. Henry treat him to lunch and give him that expensive villa? How lucky can he be?" His family didn't even own a villa like that.
Lucy was furious. "Damn him!" She'd chosen Easton because Severin was poor; she didn't want to see him prosper.
Easton, a vicious look on his face, said coldly, "Don't worry, babe. I'll make him regret it. I bet the Longhorn family owed him a favor. He can enjoy it for now. I'll get even with him later."
