Chapter 55
Severin drove to the gate of Villa 808. The villa was enormous, with a garage conveniently located beside the entrance. He parked, exited the car, and unlocked the door.
"II never dreamed we'd live in such a large villa!" Maurice exclaimed, overwhelmed by the sight.
Judith frowned. "I don't think we can afford the management fees for a place this size"
Severin smiled. "Leave that to me. Move in with peace of mind; don't worry."
"Come on, dear! Let's move our belongings in. Severin must have done something incredible for Henry to give him this villa!" Maurice chuckled. "His medical skills are exceptional; he saved Henry's life. We couldn't afford this even if we worked ourselves to death, but it's probably pocket change for Henry!"
"Right, let's move our things in. It's getting dark. Let's get settled, choose rooms, and then get some delicious food!" Diane smiled, genuinely happy for the first time in five years. She no longer had to live in their cramped apartment.
"Will I have my own room, Mom?" Selene asked innocently.
"Of course, sweetheart! A villa this size has tons of rooms, upstairs and down!" Diane replied. "I'll take you upstairs to choose your room in a moment."
"Your mother and I are fine downstairs. You three take the upstairs rooms," Maurice added, chuckling. "I worried about Severin after prison, with so much debt. He had no home, no wife. Now he has a wife, a daughter, and this magnificent villa! It's surreal!"
Judith rolled her eyes. "You're beside yourself with joy!"
Maurice laughed. "Shouldn't I be? Everything changed overnight! We don't have to worry about Severin finding a wife anymore!"
Judith urged Severin. "The Longhorns have been incredibly kind. You saved the old man's life, but this generosity is rare. Remember to repay their kindness."
"Yes, Mom. I understand. You should relax and enjoy yourself!" Severin smiled. "By the way, I'll make a medicinal hair rinse for you tomorrow. It'll turn your hair black within a week!"
"Really? Is that even possible?" Judith smiled, looking years younger since Severin's return. His presence eliminated her worries about him.
"Haha, don't worry, I'm an expert. I'm not bragging. You'll see!" Severin laughed, changing the subject. "Mom, if I have time, I'll hire someone to clean. Then, in a few days, we can invite Aunt Marie and others for a housewarming dinner. I'll repay what we owe them then."
"No, no, no! Your dad and I can clean the yard. We have plenty of time; no need to spend money on cleaners!" Judith immediately refused.
Severin sighed. "Okay, Mom." His parents needed time to adjust to their new circumstances after a lifetime of hard work. Changing their mindset wouldn't be easy.
"Oh dear, the decorations are so luxurious!"
"These sofas are brand new!"
"Wow, there's even a bar! And red wine!"
