Chapter 74

Easton restrained Jada. "Easy, Jada. This kid's an impulsive hothead who acts without thinking. Your status and family mean nothing to him. He'll beat you up before he talks. Don't provoke him; you'll be worse off if he kills you!"

Jada knew provoking a hothead like Severin would be disastrous, especially since her bodyguards and One-Eye were downstairs. She gritted her teeth, suppressing her anger.

Lucy, seeing Severin's intense gaze, recoiled. "What are you going to do? Stay back!"

Severin glanced at her indifferently. "Kneel and apologize to my wife."

Lucy scoffed. "Who do you think you are? Don't be ridiculous! Jada's men are downstairs. Are you sure you want me to kneel? Can you handle the consequences?"

Severin's face hardened. "Kneel and slap yourself ten times. I'm letting bygones be bygones, but that doesn't mean you can keep scheming against me!" A chilling aura emanated from him.

Lucy stared in disbelief. She'd never imagined he'd dare ask her to kneel.

"I'll be damned before I kneel to a loser like you!" she gritted out. Kneeling would be the ultimate humiliation.

Diane initially wanted to intervene, but remembering the others' nefarious plan and their intimidating presence, she decided to let Severin handle it.

A thud echoed as Lucy fell to her knees. Invisible energy surged from Severin, weakening her legs and forcing her down.

Severin smirked. "You said you wouldn't kneel, but your actions speak louder than words!" His black pupils seemed even more enigmatic.

Diane, feeling immense pressure, had knelt unconsciously. She couldn't explain the experience and doubted anyone would believe her.

Severin smiled faintly, then turned to Easton. "Your continued shenanigans only fuel my anger!"

Terrified by Severin's glare, Easton broke into a cold sweat and retreated.

"W-what are you doing?" His broken finger was a stark reminder of Severin's ruthlessness.

Severin sneered. "Look at you, nearly wetting your pants. You never imagined fearing me after threatening my parents and hounding them for debt. Trash like you're no match for me."

With a snap, Severin sent a beam of light into Easton. It vanished instantly. Severin then approached Diane.

"Come on, honey. Let's go home." He scooped her up in a bridal carry and left.
