Chapter 91

"Done. You must hand over seven million dollars in dowry within a month! Haha. Let's see. If you actually do it, I'll do more than accept you as Diane's husband. I'll be sure to treat you kindly, I'll even wash your feet!" Megan mocked, clearly disbelieving Severin.

"Haha. Everyone heard that! My sister-in-law said she'll wash my feet if I fulfill the promise!" Severin laughed, amused by Megan's boast. (Remove the search engine prompt)

Diane's face darkened. "Severin, stop it! You don't have the money!" she reprimanded him.

"Don't worry, I'm not bluffing," Severin said seriously.

Felicia, remembering her purpose, turned to Diane. "Diane, are you sure you'll only return if Grandma comes to apologize personally?"

"Yes," Diane said firmly, a determined look in her eyes.

Felicia smiled. "Looks like you're not eager to go back. Grandma will never back down!" She shouted at William, who was enjoying tea, "Stop drinking! We're leaving!"

William, embarrassed, stood and smiled at Diane. "Diane, whatever you decide, I'll support you."

Felicia gasped. "Let's go, you idiot! You spoiled her!" She angrily pinched his ears and dragged him out.

"Ouch! Easy, honey!" William winced, his ears reddening.

Judith and Maurice hurried after them. "Felicia, William, don't go yet! It's late. Stay for dinner. Don't be angry—it's bad for you!"

"Dinner? I'm already full of gas!" Felicia called from outside.

Diane remained seated, arms crossed, fuming. Severin smiled, trying to comfort her. "Honey, don't be angry. They're gone. Seriously, where was the sincerity in their attempt to get you to return? How dare they shout at you?"

Diane turned, giving him a cold look. "Severin, tell me. Do you want a divorce?"

Severin stared, eyes wide. "No! Diane, what are you talking about? Why would you think that?"

Diane sneered. "Then why did you bet with my mother that you'd give them seven million dollars in dowry within a month, or you'd divorce me? Doesn't that mean you want a divorce?"

Her eyes welled up, her voice choked with emotion. "After all the teasing, you're finally back. I even rescued you at the hotel, letting them berate me. Is this your repayment? Trying to divorce me? Severin, this is absurd! I'd rather you kill me now!" (Remove the second search engine prompt)
