Chapter 94

"Yeah! We're going to the amusement park! Hurray!" Selen danced, waving her hands joyfully.

Diane, however, was still angry with Severin. Witnessing this happy moment slightly eased her anger, but she remained determined to verify if Severin was being truthful. She found it hard to believe a generous benefactor would teach him medicine, martial arts, and give him three hundred million dollars. Unless, of course, the benefactor was an idiot.

On the way to the bank, Severin, fearing Fabian would need more than ten minutes to procure the bank card, deliberately drove slowly.

At the bank, Diane said, "Look, the cash withdrawal machines are over there. We can check the balance!"

Severin frowned. 'I still haven't got the bank card yet. What should I do?' he thought.

Fortunately, Fabian had been waiting. Spotting Severin, he approached with a smile, feigning a question to Diane: "Ma'am, can I help you with anything?" When Diane looked at him, he quickly hid the bank card behind his back. Severin, seeing this, was relieved. He swiftly snatched the card while Diane wasn't looking. "Honey, let's check our balance!" he said.

Diane walked ahead, Severin trailing slightly behind. He gave Fabian an "okay" gesture. Under Diane's watchful eye, Severin inserted the card and entered the PIN.

"Six zeros!" Diane was speechless. "It's too easy to remember. You need to change it!"

Severin nodded. "Alright."

He then checked the balance. Instantly, the figure of three hundred million dollars appeared on the screen.

Diane gasped. Though born into wealth and accustomed to large sums, seeing this amount in Severin's account still shocked her. The money she'd seen before belonged to the company; her savings were modest, and she'd been frugal for five years, to the point of rarely buying meat. Seeing such a large sum again was undeniably shocking.

"What do you think? I told you I wouldn't lie!" Severin said, smiling. "Don't worry. I know I have a lot of money, and that's why I dared to bet with your mother. I could never even consider separating from you. I love you so much. And I'm the lucky one to have you as my wife. You're worth far more than the dowry I promised your parents!"

Diane felt warmth but rolled her eyes. "Hey, now I know you weren't bluffing! But you've suddenly become quite the smooth talker!"

"I'm telling the truth. You're priceless!" Severin smiled. "Speaking of which, your sister, Megan, said she'd wash my feet if she lost. Hehe, what do you think her expression will be like?"

"Change your PIN now!" Diane reminded him.

Severin immediately changed it to 520521. "Easy to remember, right?"

"Yes, much better than before!" Diane sighed. "I really thought you were planning to sell the villa. I underestimated you!"

Leaving the bank, Severin suggested, "Shall we find somewhere for lunch? I promise to take Selene to the amusement park."

"Sure. She's been wanting to go. Let's spend the rest of the day playing with her!" Diane smiled, relieved. She'd bet on the right horse.
