Chapter 940: A Brewing Crisis

The hotel's general manager led a determined group toward the fifth-floor restaurant. A palpable tension filled the air.

As the elevator doors opened, employees in the corridor, gripped by fear, quickly lowered their heads, whispering, "Mr. Patton!"

Aden Patton ignored them, his angry face set as he strode toward the restaurant.

"What's going on?" someone whispered. "I have no idea. I've never seen Mr. Patton this furious." "Someone must have caused a major problem!"

As Patton disappeared, the employees whispered amongst themselves, hoping to avoid the fallout. After all, working at the Luxoria Hotel had its perks.

Meanwhile, Liza returned to her workspace. Her supervisor, a woman in her thirties, asked curiously, "Liza, is that woman truly the infamous troublemaker from the Yeringham headlines? She's attractive, but I never expected such a wicked heart." A tinge of jealousy colored her words.

"Yes, that's her," Liza sneered, disdain evident on her face. "She was a handful in high school, relying on her looks. Always starting fights, but plenty of guys chased her. She must have been proud. Hmph, I doubt she has much to be proud of now!"

The supervisor chuckled coldly. "Women like her rely on their looks when young. Once they hit their thirties and face divorce, scandals like this surface. Whether she'll find another husband is questionable. She probably thought of herself as refined. Let's see how she handles this embarrassment; she must be furious!"

Her subordinates nodded in agreement. Women, they agreed, could be petty and envious, often detesting other women based solely on rumors and gossip. Within their circle, many female celebrities and public figures were considered common enemies.

To their surprise, another subordinate rushed in, exclaiming, "Ms. Raven, this is bad! Mr. Berry demands your immediate presence. And who served table thirteen? You both need to leave—now!"

"What? Leave?"

Erin Raven, enraged, slapped her subordinate. "How dare you tell me to leave?" Erin, a supervisor for only the past year, had worked at the hotel for a decade, starting as a waitress. Perhaps her new position had inflated her ego. She remembered the reprimands and mistreatment she endured as a waitress—a common experience.

The waitress stood silently, wounded. She had only delivered a message.

Another waitress rushed over, urging, "Ms. Raven, you need to see Mr. Berry. Mr. Patton is here, and it's serious!"

Erin, sensing something was wrong, glared at Liza.

Liza looked puzzled. "Could it be Roselynn? It can't be! She's from a modest background. How could she have influential connections?"

"Ms. Raven, get out now!" Felipe Berry's furious voice echoed from outside.

Erin's face paled. She pulled Liza along.

"Mr. Berry, what's going on?"

"What's going on? You caused this trouble! You have no sense! The VIPs at table thirteen reported you both!" Felipe's anger was barely contained. If not for the onlookers, he might have kicked Erin.
