Chapter 112 (+25 Bonus)
"I'll cross that bridge when I come to it," Dustin said icily.
"Listen to yourself! You don't even flinch! I'll enjoy watching you die!" Clara sneered.
None of them believed Dustin could handle the impending problem. The Wyatt sisters mocked him, but he ignored them and silently collected Lucas's ashes. He wrapped them in a cloth, cradled them to his chest, and turned to leave.
"Stop! You're not leaving yet!" the Wyatt sisters stopped him. "How dare you take Dad's ashes?! Put them down!"
Dustin's face reflected impatience. He was growing annoyed.
"Since you can't protect your father's ashes, I will," he said icily, his eyes hardening.
His shout was terrifying. The Wyatt sisters paled.
"Dustin, you insolent bastard! You're at the Wyatt family villa! What are you going to do next? Kill us?" Amara's face darkened as she produced a framed black-and-white photograph. "What do you think you're doing staring at my father's memorial photo? Will you even be able to face him after you die?"
Dustin's face twisted in fury. They had even brought out Lucas's memorial photo to threaten him. How low could they go?
"I'm leaving with my adoptive father's ashes," Dustin said coldly. "You can't stop me."
"Hmph! You won't leave until you give us those men in black!" Amara said.
Dustin huffed in exasperation. Those were his Hell Guards, yet the sisters believed Lucas trained them and wanted them.
"Move out of my way!"
With a cold face, Dustin flung his arm. Amara felt a weight disappear from her hands; the memorial photo was now in Dustin's possession.
The Wyatt sisters couldn't fight back; the force of Dustin's movement sent them sprawling. They were bruised.
"You're not worthy of trying that trick on me," Dustin said mockingly.
He left with the ashes and the memorial photo. The Wyatt sisters were furious. They hadn't expected him to defy them, especially after the threat of Lucas's photo. Those men in black were strong, and they desperately wanted them.
"Stop, Dustin!" Clara shouted.
Dustin ignored her.
"Don't you want to know Dad's secret?!" Clara shouted.
Dustin stopped and turned.
"There's a secret room in the backyard," Clara said gravely. "It's full of traps. The Wyatt family's greatest secret is in the deepest part—a letter Dad left behind!"
Dustin scowled. He was curious about anything related to Lucas. Perhaps the Wyatt family's treasure was in that room.
"Don't you want that treasure?" Clara tempted him.
Dustin remained silent. The Wyatt family's treasure didn't tempt him, but he did want to read the letter. Perhaps Lucas had left a message for him, shedding light on his origins.
"Dustin, do you want to go in? You can only go alone. If you fail, you have to give us those men in black!" Clara challenged.
"Why not?" Dustin said somberly. "Lead the way."
Clara looked smug and gestured to her sisters. They led Dustin to the secret room.
"Clara" Elisa worried.
"Don't worry. He'll definitely die in there," Clara snickered.
