Chapter 215

She looked at Jessica. “I actually wasn’t interested in your disputes. I only wanted to avenge my parents.”

“I know.”

The group left the hotel.

Hurricane Media had already begun negotiations with the Summit Infirmary. It was led by Francesca with several well-known doctors, so even if Chris, the symbolic figurehead, was absent, it did not matter.

“Where are we going?” asked Nina.

Roy checked the time.

“The headquarters will be holding a meeting on the Aitairy case today. We need to wait for an official document. I’m going back. The information Helen has is similar to Mandy’s. After Michael cleaned up his identity, it all became useless. We have to see what comes next.”

That was what the leaders had already said; for now, there was no other choice.

“Then I’ll head to the Wilder Group,” said Nina.

She replied to a few messages, and when she saw Jessica looking at her, she tilted her head. “Isn’t Matthew signing a contract now?”

Signing Matthew had been decided long ago, but the contract was only finalized today. Matthew had just arrived at the Wilder Group not long ago, and Shannon had even sent photos.

“Are you serious about Matthew?” asked Jessica. “If you are, then I can’t arrange any scandals for him in the future. It’s better not to have him collaborate with other actresses either.”

Nina raised her hand. “No, no, no. I’m from the entertainment industry. I’ve long been immune to these things. My situation with Matthew is actually quite complicated. We’ve been separated for so many years, and the feelings we had at the beginning are long gone. Now we’re just giving it a try. Anyway, Grandma said I had to date someone.”

“Then I’ll give it a try,” Nina added inwardly.

“What about you?” Roy tossed his car key lightly. “Want me to drop you off at the hospital on the way?”

Chris said, “No. There are quite a few reporters from Hurricane Media today. Francesca even sent me a message specifically telling me not to head back. If they see me, they’ll definitely want interviews and photos. I don’t like that. I’ll just go to the Wilder Group to see Matthew as well.”

They were all curious about the man rumored to be romantically linked to Nina.

Roy leaned in and said quietly, “Keep a close eye. If this Matthew isn’t good enough, call me immediately, I’ll make him disappear.”

Chris couldn’t help but laugh. “That’s unnecessary!”

“No. I can’t let a man like that trick my sister. It’s up to you, but Nina is your sister too.”

Chris was rendered speechless. ‘Fine then.’

The Wilder Group was quite lively. Although Matthew didn’t have a very large fanbase in Cheria, his supporters were loyal. As soon as their car turned the corner, they saw a crowd standing downstairs–fans and even reporters.

The driver reacted quickly and drove straight to the underground car park, then took them upstairs.

“There are quite a lot of people.”

Nina was unfazed. “Once your entertainment department started operating, it’s always either fans or reporters downstairs. I’m used to it. And when an artist gets into trouble, the first thing the fans do is curse your entire family.”

Jessica was rendered speechless. They had already seen what would happen during the Adam incident.

“How is Adam’s recovery right now?” asked Jessica.

Nina said, “Pretty good. He’s recovering right now. He’ll soon be able to start working a little—shooting posters and similar things won’t be a problem. He just can’t overexert himself, so we haven’t arranged any drama projects yet. Adam still has deep feelings for the company.”

After all, he had been signed very early. And FN had indeed treated Adam very well–every top resource went to him first before anyone else. Artists trained under such circumstances tended to be very loyal.
