Chapter 216

Matthew’s signing didn’t make such a big splash.

Originally, they had planned to hold a press conference, but Matthew said it wasn’t necessary.

“It was just a contract signing, not some achievement, so there’s no need for everyone to know.”

“Matthew was actually quite sensible,” said Nina. “Especially after spending those years abroad as an idol trainee–he probably went through quite a lot of hardships.”

Jessica nodded. “From what I know about the entertainment industry, someone as humble as Matthew might actually go further nowadays. But in the end, it still depends on his achievements.”

“I have a lot of confidence in Matthew.”

Inside the company, Matthew’s signing had actually stirred up waves.

Before the New Year, there had already been rumors about launching an entertainment division.

But because of several senior executives' disagreement, the idea was all just talk.

No one expected that right after the holiday, Matthew would already be signing a contract, and even a few e-sports clubs were in negotiations.

From this, it looked like the Wilder Group’s entertainment division was heading toward internationalization.

“There’s actually not much to gain from the entertainment division. FN already exists, and no matter what other companies do, it’s all the same. The Hall Group used to work with us as well.”

“Hey, did you see the news? Mr. Hall turned out to be the CEO of Aitairy–Elfa. How did we never realize that Mr. Hall was so handsome in the past? Seeing him on the international news makes me feel that he’s a really good-looking guy.”

“You should probably watch less of that stuff. Aitairy’s activities in the industry haven’t been a secret these past few years. They haven’t really been up to anything good. I heard Mr. Hall came back to Cheria to pursue Ms. Wilder, but unfortunately, Ms. Wilder’s relationship with her husband was solid, so he failed and left the country again.”

“Well, anyone with half a brain would know who to choose. Sure, Mr. Hall is handsome, but clearly Ms. Wilder’s husband looks even better. Plus, he’s a doctor with a gentle personality. If it were me, I’d pick her husband too!”

“That’s true.”

The group took Jessica’s private elevator straight upstairs, heading directly to the meeting room.

Inside, Matthew had already finished signing with the help of the legal team.

“Are you done?” Jessica pushed the door open.

Matthew was facing away from the door, but when he heard the noise, he turned and glanced over.

Among all the people, he immediately spotted Nina.

He suddenly smiled and waved at her.

The others turned to watch with curiosity.

Nina felt a little embarrassed but still walked over and stood behind Matthew.

“All done? Have you chosen your agent?”

“Matthew brought his own agent, and he also signed a contract with the entertainment division. The duration of the contract for the agent is the same as Matthew’s–renewable upon expiration,” said Shannon.

“Then come with us,” said Jessica, waving before turning back to the office.

Chris lagged half a step behind, walking side by side with Matthew.

Shannon and the agent, Neo Ashton, followed last, quietly discussing arrangements for Matthew.

“You don’t look exactly like in the photos. You seem even thinner in person. Did you really not get enough to eat as a trainee?” asked Chris.

Matthew smiled after hearing that.

“It’s not as bad as what others say, but… yeah, you couldn’t eat too much because if you ate too much, you couldn’t sing and dance properly. And over there, weight control was indeed very strict.”

Chris said, “So how exactly did you and Nina meet? Was it really just almost signing a contract? She hasn’t dated anyone all these years–does that have anything to do with you?”

Neo had done some background research on the Wilder Group and FN.

Nina had an older brother named Roy.

But the man in front of him clearly wasn’t Roy–rumor had it Roy had quite a bad temper.

This man was much more gentle.

Considering they had come together, Neo could only assume this man must be Ms. Wilder’s husband—Chris, the chairman of the Summit Infirmary.
